Apples products are overhyped and overrated. I used to be a fan boy but after having bad experience with their lousy overpriced products, now I despise that company.

I have not tried their products but let me tell you what I have seen. I have seen that if a person has purchased an Apple product , the emphasis is on showing the Apple icon instead of the use. May be this thing is limited to people I know.

Buying overpriced garbage from Apple to show off that they are cool, trendy or rich is the definition of stupidity.

I am looking at this from a Business and Personal experience viewpoint. I prefer PC Over a MAC. If starting a company that required ten computers that had multiple hands in the Cookie Jar at any given time, I would spend the extra money on MAC computers.

I buy Apple products because they last far longer than market alternatives, are extremely user friendly, have great support, have much cleaner and better organized file systems, and don't experience anywhere close to the bog-down from age that alternative products do.

That's good and all with the little exception of mostly not being true

* Apple products last far longer than market alternatives? Take a look at the people who have bought defective product lines and had to wait for a class action suit to eventually emerge before Apple admitting its mistake.
* Cleaner and better organized file systems? I don't even know what that means to you. That the apps are in a bundle and it shows its icon?
* They don't bog down? You mean despite Apple intentionally slowing hardware down and admitting it? And it's not just the phones, I have (amongst other Apple products) an old Mini and have been updating it to the newest OS version whenever it gets out (i.e. officially supported by Apple for that machine, not me forcing it somehow). The performance difference with time is abysmal (and it's use if for the kids to watch youtube, so it's definitely not the third party software bogging it down).

All that said, extremely user friendly is true.

I buy Apple because its products look nice and I can afford to throw money away. Anyone who's looking for "value for money" though should get something else.

if iPhone is overpriced, then Samsung flagships are overpriced too,
I don't have any complaints against MacBooks. But I'd choose this over a MacBook any day.

Its all preference in the end. I have an iphone x and I absolutley love it. People will always view apple as overpriced, well I will always look at android as buggy.

Well, all you have to do is to root it and gain "superuser". I could never use an iPhone when I'm able to do things like slightly changing the voltage coming from the battery, tweaking the thermal behavior of the CPU to enhance battery, updating sound drivers or installing custom ROMs with an impressive number of extra personalization options.
I have to admit that rooting can even brick your phone but if you know what you're doing you're safe.

Once you root it and delete all the default useless carrier stuff then it becomes a much more pleasurable experience.
You do lose warranty when you do it but honestly if you don't have any hardware faults, there's nothing you can't do software wise that other might do on your behalf.

Youre talking from the point of someone that is a hardware hacker /geek. This "features" you mentioned are honestly pointless because the masses dont try to hack their phones by chaning voltages or tweaking cpu performance. I mean I get what you say about the flexibility of an android phone but 99% of people wont go through the hassle of rooting their android device just to have it bug free or faster, thats just reality. This is why I like iphone and yes Im sucked into their ecosystem and honestly Im not a fan of their laptops but I really do like their phones.

What's the big deal that a company has hit a trillion market cap or whatever, I'm sure there has been multiple companys that hit that number years ago and the public has never heard about it due to back room investments and *Special interest donors*. Apple or Android? Smh I'd rather have a Nokia.

I think the older macbooks were great, I'm still using my early 2014 macbook air and I also still have a 15 inch Macbook Pro from 2012.

Both devices are still working great even the battery in my mba is still lasting the whole day.
Apple devices have never been cheap but the prices were well worth it.

But nowadays the prices are just crazy high, while I paid like 1800€ in 2012 for the Macboo pro, the price for the base model in 2018 is 2800€ in Europe now.
Also what I heard about the new generations of Macbook the quality has gone down a lot

You are absolutely right, what I do to my phone is more like a niche in the Android user world. A few good tens of millions I might say.
Most vanilla phones are slowed down by default carrier stuff, that's basically impossible to deactivate on a stock system.
I did spend some time on an iPhone so I really have to say that it is indeed lightning fast and smoother than most Androids.

But rooting became way easier these last couple of years now there are small .exe programs that do it in minutes.
My father thanked me for about a month when his old-ish Samsung became very slow.
I rooted the phone and changed the settings but only under the hood and he couldn't believe it.It felt like a completely new phone.

So yes in the end it all goes down to preference and what you need from a smartphone. I do love to tweak the crap out of it.
Also on new phones that had a certain CPU architecture you were able to install a kernel running in parallel with the Android one.
As a result you were able to install full functionality Kali Linux distro on your phone running it in parallel with Android.
A small WiFi adapter = Real life Watch Dogs.

Andriod works perfectly fine if you stop downloading software and files from unreliable sources. That's why Apple isn't buggy... because users can't download from random sources. Besides, people keep updating their gadgets almost every year. I see no point spending so much money on something you're gonna replace after a short while.
