Some tips on how to use Quora effectively

I have a question as well: I used to answer lots of questions on Quora to promote my dropshipping website. In order to answer I just copied articles from Google and I actually got upvoted and even made few sales. The problem was Quora found it (or someone reported) and I got a temporary ban, then a ban forever not to mention they deleted my answers and my rating as well (I was most viewed writer).

How can I answer as many questions without creating them myself and still not to get a ban? I opened a new account for now from the same IP and computer, will they ban this one too?

One solution to this is to spread answers to multiple profiles. If one is reported it caught, all answers will not be deleted.

Quora is a knowledge sharing site, and the best way to use it would be to gain knowledge and also spread it.

According to me, the following are good ways to use quora effectively:

Follow topics: that you are interested in, the ones you have experience in and also the topics you'd like to know more about.

Read answers: as this would help you obtain knowledge, gain perspective, insight, maybe even change your beliefs and lastly improve your vocabulary

Answer questions: Share your personal experiences and also feel free to provide your suggestions/inputs. Try providing funny, interesting answers from time to time - this'll help you gain credits. Credits are really useful for A2A!

Ask questions!!! The best way to use quora effectively is to ask questions which you'd want answers. You can discuss your present situation under question details, and obtain people's inputs regarding the same

A2A: "Oh, but what if my question is not answered properly?" That's where A2A comes in! Attach a proper list of topics with a question, and Quora will show you a list of people who have answered similar questions before. You can even check out their profiles, their qualifications, and determine if you want them to answer. If you do, you need to spend credits for A2A - That's why you need credits. A2A, according to me, is the best way to utilize quora. I've used it to obtain professional advice from experienced people, and their suggestions helped me gain a lot of insight!

I have each device with a quora account(1 phone, 2 iPads, 2 laptops), I randomly log in and answer questions, I ask questions, I interact and upvote answers and report spam.
My profiles are now each getting called out in their specialities by people asking questions, which is great.

When I answer my first 10 questions, I drop 0 links, then I started dropping links to gov, edu sites, I kept this up for my first 100 answers, now I mingle in my own sites. Doing it this way, not only do my answers stick, but often get upvotes and often get too answer.

I love Quora personally.

Decent traffic source, great for branding and being seen as a niche expert. Plus, I use it for getting guest posts and round up posts.

But my experience is different than a lot of users.

The questions I answer now are A2As or questions with a lot of followers and few quality answers.

I dont care if a question has 100 answers. I care about answer quality, number of upvotes answers have and the comments on top answers.

If you have 500 people watching a question, with 25 answers and none have an upvote, you struck gold.

The biggest key to my traffic is finding questions with a lot of followers but bad answers.

This is a manual method, I have to spend at least 30 minutes a day checking new questions. But it pays off.

Answer structure on quora is fairly basic for me, and matches a lot of advice you read. I use bold for titles and story dividers. At least one picture near the beginning of the answer. I try to keep paragraphs at 150 to 200 words. More than 200 words, a new section.

The last tip is the most explosive traffic comes from personal stories. I tend to find American and Indian answers do the best in terms of views.

Spun crap doesnt fly. Quora is a personal story place to get the real traffic. Feel free to embelish stories. Marketers get hit quickly.

For links, I only link if I am citing. When I use a business profile (Bill Paxton CEO Taxidermy Institute) it makes sense to refernece my business in some answers.

Profiles like: Mike OG Has a 6 Pak YO! Will toss in links willy nilly and not get upvotes and normally get banned.

If you don't post many links normally, how do you get traffic to your website from it?
 
It is 50 / 50 link to answer.

I get traffic by people clicking on my direct link and profile. Im my profiles I list websites and social media (twitter, Facebook, google plus).

In my profile, I also list popular answers, and each answer I mention links to mh money site.
 
I doubt the ranking of answers has anything to do with the age of account, followers.
But I havent been able to track what make the ranking tick like sometimes without any upvotes my answers hit the top spot while sometimes even after sending a lot of upvotes they dont make it to the top.

Well, my site that I am currently adding has the lowest priced service at $10,000: it is B2B.
So I don't get any whim buys, but I have gotten a few solid leads. Now this niche is HIGHLY specialized too, so not a lot of random people searching for the solution: think US government regulation niches down to a tiny, tiny subset of the regulation.
With quora, I have noticed about 3-4 people per day coming to my site, most check out 3 pages per avg, and when I said a few solid leads, I mean 2 out of about 100 people, but at such a high price point, and it is an actual physical serbice, I am grateful for every lead, as to bank hard I only need 1.3 sales per month.

I'll soon be using Quora for another service site in this niche, this one is a digital service, free if they subscribe to my newsletter(opting out of newsletter removes free membership), I imagine this one will be better for Quora, but only time will tell.
