Why Is There So Much S**T Being Talked About Recently?

Seriously,

Within the last few days i've seen threads including people who think that:

1.) An imaginary organisation control the world.
2.) That we're hiding a cure for cancer "for control"
3.) That everyone who supports any wester ideaology is "full of propoganda" and has been brain-washed.

No offence, but this forum isn't for religion or politics.

Why can't everyone just chill out, stop being paranoid, and get back to the topic at hand? Not only do these discussions agitate people, they also seperate BHW as a community, which isn't ever a good thing.

How's about we all earn some more money?

Now, where were we ...

Seriously, some people believe any conspiracy theory because they like the idea of hidden undertones and secret truths.

These people always tell others to look at the 'real facts', etc, when the 'real facts' they use are usually ones made up by these conspiracy theorists, who, if you didn't rhaven't realized, PROFIT off each theory they make. (for example, can you imagine how much money that 9/11 conspiracy video guy made? TONS.)

So yeah, the more theories they bullshit, the more money they get, and the more idiots follow them. Thats the simple motive that keeps us flooded with bullshit theories that some people are actually ignorant enough to believe. (while claiming that everyone else is ignorant and they are intellectually superior because they believe things a guy in his basement wrote on the internet, of course).

Another example - cancer research.

I've heard people claim that they don't want to find a cure for cancer because they can make more money just by treating it. What you don't realize is that the people who make money by treating cancer aren't the ones who find the cure - hospitals and private practices make money off treatments, and independent research labs make money off the cures. The research laboratories only make money for pills and medicines they make, and if they were able to find a cure for cancer, they would make BILLIONS. The doctors who perform the treatment procedures may lose some money, yes, but that is totally unrelated to actual cancer research.

But yeah, basically these "theorists" take the idea that people in power want to do everything possible to control people, and then go on tangents from there until they arrive at some ridiculous conclusion. Obviously a police force and judiciary system are more than enough to control people, but there will always be people who love to think they know it all while others are "ignorant sheep"...

It's not any member in particular, it's just a small minority in general i guess.

I used to somewhat accept some ideas proposed. But then i read up on the author of the material; he once claimed he was the son of god. That he was christ's 2nd coming (according to him due to his "amazing ability to find parking spaces in london"). Later retracted it because he said he was "mad at the time". Believes "shape shifting reptoids" control the universe.

Then i realised it probably wasn't the most accurate piece of text ever written ...

Are these things being posted in the "Lounge"? If so, so be it. If not, I'm on your side, but think of it as the "water cooler" section where people BS about stupid shit. It's not always about business. Some people stop and breathe for a while.

Note: Not to say I am for these topics or against them. I just try not to let things get to me that seem a little out of focus. If it's posted in the lounge, just walk on by. If it's posted some place inappropriate, express your thoughts.

@ jammie : Chill dude, this is the lounge. Honestly, the "hiding the cure for cancer for control" thread is a very healthy discussion. Nobody is flaming anyone. We can`t all be talking about money all the time. We need to chill.

I know what you`re going to say : "Go to fucking conspiracy forums, etc. Post on twitter!" .

I discovered that that lots of bhw members are very smart and open minded and sometimes it`s nice to talk about random things with smart guys. I like talking to them on all kind of subjects. Do you want to talk about money? Go to the money making part of the forum.

Exactly why I posted here. His (yeah, hes a him, even though he poses as a her) post was extremely disrespectful and I'm sure pissed alot of people off. For one, people who try to convince people of these obviously false theories normally piss me off (especially when they tell me that I should open my eyes and realize they're true, etc etc), but the whole fact that he brought it up in a thread about a person's death makes it even worse.

I like to take some time out, but i don't like having other people seemingly peach their ideals to me!

I agree the cancer one was a good debate and it seems out of context in the post above (as it was actually an argument why it wouldn't happen like that), i just fear it'll open the floodgates to other people who can't judge as accurately & comprehend fully the material they're posting.

Yeah but this is a forum for human beings. Everyone has their own beliefs however I believe it's important for people not to "FORCE" their ideology on others and not to "pick sides" or "separate". With that being said I do believe that most of the world is in a trance. Stop watching television and start watching alternative media then make up your own mind.

I have also noticed a lot more of these subjects popping up and hence have spent MUCH less time here because of it. I agree that a lot of the theories are probably 100% rubbish.

As far as the cancer thing goes I voiced my opinion, and tried to back it as best I could. Sadly not everyone has the ability to be respectful to other people when touching on subjects like that, and that's why I normally avoid them. The Cancer/Cure issue hits close to home for me, that's why felt the need to interject.

However Jammie is right, this IS a marketing forum and people have just outright gotten off task as of late. On that note...**Fires up CLAD**

Well I just want to apologize to Snow White for saying pot "doesn't cure shit" because although I knew there are several natural cures for cancer and all diseases I didn't realize pot was one of them until Asgard pointed it out.

It's right about cannabis; the Spanish have done much research on THCs ability to kill cancer cells, but if you or a loved one are battling this dreadful disease it's hard to get hold of. Have a google for Rick Simpson (Run From The Cure) he was making an oil from cannabis and curing various people in Canada till they arrested him. It's grotesque.

Just goes to show the mother nature these guys make drugs out of is superior to expensive drugs with expensive side effects.

If conservative Forbes Magazine and many other authorities and doctors say it that's good enough for me.

The ideology behind the truth movement is to "spread the truth". That's why people may seem so consistent. The main driving force is that truthers believe that an information war is being fought constantly every day. They feel that by hammering you with their beliefs and challenging you with controversial information that they are helping to deprogram you from the lies and manipulation.

There are lot of people today on earth which are living in an illusion. I think it's important for us to realize that everyone has their own path in life and that some people simply will not budge from their current belief systems.
