Hey BlackHatWorld.

I thought I would quickly share a guide of things I have learned through becoming a "link builder" of sorts. The reason I thought this is because I have been a lurker / question hog for a long fucking time.
I was about to ask another question then decided to see if I can give any advice.

I am still a small fry compared to other SEO's in here, so please correct me if any of this is wrong.

What Is Outreach Link Building?

Outreach link building is really more of a email marketing / sales position than anything else. You will be contacting webmasters with some kind of "value proposition". This would be those "link building strategies that still work in 2018" that everyone blogs about.

Look up link building, you will probably find some of these. A good one is by "webris".

All you are doing is

1) Finding websites that you could contact that hold this value proposition. Easy one is guest posting. Content is fun right. Other websites love content (especially smaller ones). Another value would be finding a dead link, offering content to their readers (make sure it is not shitty), and more. Start with guest posting.

2) Contact them either through email, social media, or a letter if you want to go way too far (I would respect it). Start with email as it is the easiest.

How To Make It Work?

The way you make outreach link building "work" is all about your pitch. If you are emailing a lot of websites, you will get a certain reply rate & links placed rate.

Create pitches that people respond too. This is mostly weighted on your ability to understand how to make a good email pitch. Look up other "outreach" articles, and you will find tons of templates to get some idea of what to send.

DO NOT SEND THESE. Joking, but there are a lot of pretty bad ones. You need to develop the ability to think up pitches that make sense for your list of websites. Think of any value proposition that would be easy to make a good pitch to your specific list of websites. For example, you may be able to send out a great pitch to a list of home insurance websites because of some asset, or value proposition, you have.

For guest posting, just act like an authentic person that will give great content to their site, and you are off to a good start.

Conclusion

Sorry this is short and highly theoretical. I do not have a vast amount of time on my hands, but If I can answer questions, I will.

Thank you,

nxxixp.

this post is really helpful for me... thanks bro for your shire knowledge......

Hi, good insights, but I feel I've exhausted the "cold email" method.

There are so many people doing this now, as asking for links is the best way to get them these days, that webmasters, editors etc., immediately delete these types of emails or sends them to spam.

When the return got very tight for me, I changed my tactic. Now I find websites that are actively looking for articles and contributors and I contribute. Sometimes if my profile doesn't fit the niche, I hire writers and we collaborate. Then I would submit articles directly to editors once they've shown interest and I have a much higher chance of getting my l ink published.

One other method that's taking up more and more of my time is the linkbait method. Here I will publish a blog on my site and post viral content - the kind that will easily be shared across all social media and even be picked up by new sites such as BBC or CNN as a potential story. But there's a huge amount of time investment in this approach.

Bullshit. Cold email approach doesn't work as well as custom outreach but it works, period. It's a numbers game and it can be fully automated.
