I got the imgur app on my iPhone and it works well - you can download images from the net, then add them to the app and generate a url for adding to a post in a few clicks.

Just to play Devil's advocate, but, what's wrong with having only a few months of shelf life for a good high metric relevant link, if it's disclosed upfront that the link will be temporary? It should just mean that such links will only have X value, compared to links that last longer, for X + more value? Even big premium editorial sites have pages that expire or become broken when they change things around---and there goes your great link when that happens. So these kind of changes shouldn't automatically be called a scam, just saying.

I wouldnt call it a scam. And if sellers advertised links as 'these will last 3 months' people would buy accordingly.

The prolem is:

1. Links ard not sold as "the links will be around 3 - 10 months". The are sold as 'permanent'.

2. The same sellers tell people to wait up to 60 days to see SEO benefit. When the links could go down.

3. Non PBN Guest Posts / Editorials are sold with the disclaimer "we have no control over the site but will replace if removed with xx days."

If links were sold accordingly, I wouldnt have made this thread.

is there a service you do recommend? or is building your own pbn a better idea. p.s. i'm just starting my first dropshipping project so i'm a newb

I dont, as your site may need diversity before a PBN pack, or the kws may not even need pbn links.

Dont buy until you know what you need to rank.

My best advice is to read all reviews in the thread. Pay attention to the mod review. Especially new mod reviews.

Ask the seller about link retention and save the PMs in case you need a dispute.

I haven't actually even started any SEO work, but I did a lot of reading (a lot of your threads were handy, I appreciate it). What would you do if you only need to rank 1-2 websites? At that point I feel like making links is over kill, but the plus side is you have them relatively forever. What's your opinion on this?

I buy a LOT of links. Apart from natural and social links, now 90% of my links are bought.

I like smaller sites and using services.

Think of it this way. You have two site. One about cars and an amazon review site. You cant afford to build a PBN to rank. But you can rent pbn links or buy an seo package.

If I use my own network (i once had a HUGE network. I had about 50 domains from @Nargil alone, aquired at the end of that network) I do not want to link to the same money site twice to prevent overlap.

So a 100 site network can have 100 links for site a, but one link for site b. Sure, you can do a 51 / 50 split and play with it, but I dont want overlap.

Or, I can use a rent PBN service for site A and ky network for site B.

All of my diversity amd busy work links are from services. I no longer have VAs and just buy link packages I trust. For example, @The SEO helped me rank and recover a site from over optimization with his speed rank service. Many times I would ask for no network posts, just all links built. 70 bucks per inner page which nets hundreds a month is worth it. His links index and are good enough quality to diversify.

I now avoid PBN packages after blowing money. But some services ARE good. If I have a high enough comp KW I would use a service. And I would buy from BHW. I buy some quest posts on here but I reach out myself mostly.

Services are great to rank a site. If you know what you are doing.

If you have a personal agreement with a reputable blog, it's going to stick, and often costs nothing

There's no proof or testing results needed to support this statement. Everybody knows that buying links may work at first but it will harm your website.

I have ranked plenty of sites using bought links.

PBN links may drop off, but all my foundational links last forever.

Links such as:

1. Web 2.0s (as long as original content they last forever)
2. Social Media Profiles
3. Social Bookmarks
4. Image links (such as imugr)
5. Press Release links

I could keep going, but some links last me years and have no inclination of dropping off.

Yes right, cheap crappy links harm a website.

In my 'little' experience, SEO is a moving target. Link strategy and buying is an ongoing endeavor. The "set it and forget it" mentality, where SEO is concerned, is tantamount to pounding your wife senselessly one night and expecting the orgasm to last forever. Yes, she may happily praise you and do all the chores the next morning...but what about the following day...and the next...and the day after? You will have to keep delivering the 'goodies' every night to sustain her interest. Keep in mind that her needs will evolve as she gets older. Pardon the sexual analogy, but that is what I thought will resonate with most people. Approach the whole process the same way you will manage any relationship.

For those of you who suck at relationships, you don't fill your gas tank one time and expect the car to run forever, do you?
