Hi is it a myth that buying expired domains and then redirecting them to your site will get you the traffic and seo of the previous site traffic ?


by my understanding the obtained domain is just domain address the hosting files are not obtained )) then how it is useful to buying expired domains ?

301 works, albeit, not as well as it used to be and definitely not all the time, not even close. And especially not with weak domains.

Well you could find the exact copy of the expired domains website on arhive.org and build the best pages again on the domain, then redirect those to your domain. That should give a boost. But I would not get into this with a money site because too much risk is involved for someone not experienced in this...

Yeah, but a lot of people just buy the domain and do a redirect without doing the initial setup, so much gets waisted by doing that...

Of course if you purchase an expired domain that has no traffic, or no metrics value, then yes, redirecting that 'empty' expired domain will yield no value to your site in the process- it's just like redirecting a new domain to your site, which will not provide any value in the process.
But if that expired domain still has traffic (which you can view through semrush), then 301 that expired domain to your site, will redirect those 'old' traffic to your new site, and your site will enjoy a brief moment of traffic.
And if the expired domain has metrics like DA/PA/TF, 301 that and your new site will assume those metrics, and if the link profile is right, it will contribute value in the process.

Expired domain works Without buying hosting, But you have to know something about web design.
1. You can get more traffic than the Previous.
2. Its help to rank your site faster.
3. You can easily publish your opinion.
3. People can find you more easily.
Sometime people use free template in web which cause bad effect in website. [Not every template are bad.]
You need to check your site code by a experienced person when you do some kind of emergency job with your site.

You can! It can always be worse...
Anyway. Did you use a brand new domain for the site? Are you using ads? Utilizing SEO to the fullest? Is your site on google at all or just not ranking?

In the long term, just make sure that your content is relevant to the original domain.

I doubt he knows how to use the htaccess file so he does need the "content" so he can redirect the pages. What the point of redirecting you bought domain to a single page(home page or other)? Be smart,distribute the link juice and you sites pages will be like a rising tide.lifting each other instea of one page being ranked.

Lots of companies legitimately change domains for some reason or another, and the 301 redirect ensures they'll keep the reputation they've earned. If Google were to ignore 301s entirely, a company rebranding would be SEO suicide.

buying up deleted domains for this purpose is admittedly an abuse of this, but Google has not been able to determine the difference between a 301 due to legitimate rebranding, and 301 purely for SEO purposes.

Outdated as in obsolete. Not effective as a core strategy for ranking your sites. Give it a try.
