Organic traffic is important, Use google analytics for analyzing traffic. IMO Alexa rank is secondary.
Increase your organic traffic, everything else will happen.

Simplest way to improve Alexa Rank: Improve the Traffic.
You can try for Organic traffic or Bot traffic to improve this.

Alexa ranking?
Not sure what your reasoning for that is but let me tell you a little story as it relates to Alexa ranking and my life.
When I was about 5 and a half, in 1963, we moved to a 13 room victorian home on 1/2 an acre on the Jersey shore and while all the movers were doing their thing I took the training wheels off my bike and learned how to ride without them.
Boy, was I excited and I must have rode up and down the street for 2 hours.
When I went in my Mother was thrilled for me and told me how proud she was of me and gave me a cookie.
I told her that I could not believe I was able to do that and that I only had one more thing to accomplish that day.
She asked me what that was.
I told her I wanted to learn how to get a better Alexa ranking.
The disappointment in her face was immeasurable and she turned to my Father and said, "He'll never amount to anything.".
She was correct, I never did.
Moral of the story is this, "Forget Alexa ranking and put your efforts into Google ranking or you'll end up like me".
