Why I can't see attached images?

Sorry if maybe this question already answered. I already use search feature and I just can't find the answer.

Why I can't see when someone post an image? I just see something like

I've seen some members complain about that recently. A couple of questions:

1. Are you only experiencing this with attached images?
2. When you try to view the posts with the attached images, are you logged off or logged on?

1. Yes, I see it often in marketplace forum. I guess the IMG is their picture sales letter and I can't see it.

2. I logged on.

Seriously, from yesterday I always see IMG instead of picture

Sorry, I should probably clarify: are you experiencing this with embedded images or images that have been attached to BHW?

Here's an example of an external image that has been embedded to the site.

Use the URL in the address bar. If that don’t work right click image and copy. If that don’t work right click the image and copy.

Why I can't see when someone post an image? I just see something like

That happens when someone doesn't use the direct url to an image when inserting the image url. It happens a lot with Imgur (the most widely used image host), because when you upload the picture, you don't get the direct url by default, but you get an url like this: https://imgur.com/gallery/sKyltTc and you need to the direct url, which is this: https://i.imgur.com/sKyltTc.png.

I thought attached images gave you that little box to click on. What does that?

I just tested it right now. Apparently, that little attachment box only appears if you upload the image without clicking the "thumbnail" or "full size" options.

There's a simple explanation for that one and it's essentially the same thing @HoNeYBiRD said above: you're supposed to embed the image file, not the page it's on.
So instead of http://imageupload.co.uk/image/E8wY, you'd have to embed http://imageupload.co.uk/images/2018/05/17/bhwimage.jpg

2. Then memberY answered "I think it is bla bla bla..." (I assumed he can see image clearly while some other can't)

Perhaps they're copying the link and visiting the page? You can right click the broken image icon and select "open image in new tab". That's what I used to do before I was a moderator (nowadays I would just fix the image link for them). Although, the difference is that I would let the poster know that they didn't correctly embed the image.

It's difficult to know unless we ask them if they can see the image as an embedded image.
