My goods have been seized at border force. Can I still get them?

So I bought some knock off trainers for my holiday 3 pairs. Nothing crazy and border force sent me a letter saying they are proven to be counterfeit (They actually go into your packages and can tell?)

Then I call them and they say its proven already to be counterfeit so if i want them I have to send in the form they sent me but it could go to court

Is this just a fake warning? Can I fill the form get my stuff and probably not hear from them again ? Or are they really willing to go the extent of the law even when I told them it was just a gift

You ordered fakes, if you still want them, you practically admit that you know that those were fakes in the first place. Do you want to risk going to court because of 3 pairs of fake sneakers? You could have gotten 1 original pair for the price or 2 pairs discounted. There are always good deals all over the net or in your local shops. Why do people buy fakes these days? If it's some high fashion brand, i can understand to an extent, but not if it's Nike, Adidas or alike. Good quality fakes ain't cheap either.

Fake shoes suck mate, you can cheap out on any garment, but not your shoes.

You won't ever get them from Border Force. Let them go and don't get into a discussion with them.
 
Dude, just forget about the fucking trainers lol
They can take you to court and as you have admitted they are counterfeit then you can be prosecuted lmao

At least you only ordered 3 pairs, could have been much worse! chalk it up to experience and move on :)

You should have arranged for them to be dispatched separately then at least one pair might have got through.
The people dealing in fakes usually bulk order but have several packages to come in on different dates and addresses etc.
They crack down hard if you are caught now and they are getting better at stopping shipments as they arrive.
If you have a local market then there is bound to be somebody selling knock-offs if you still want them.
 
The USA brand protection program is actually quite strict about these isues. See apple screens repair fiasco and see for yourself. Brand protection enforcement is a very big business, it makes the brand wanting to keep doing business on US soil. But on the other hand, the knockoff products that want to capitalise on the back of a brand is as equally as tempting. What this means for the customer is either pay the full price of the brand or pick other noname nobrand products and avoid knokofs ordered from xi ia China, tho... In Eu, this is actually very true. A hefty fine is applied for even trying this stuff, but people still do it because, if you pull it off, you make bank. Until you dont. So, count your blessings for beying in USA and you don't go to jail for a pair of nikeis, say thank you to the border patrol, move on, and don't do this in the future.
 
Bloody hell they have no probpem smuggling entire families into the uk, your a bit unlucky you couldnt smuggle in 3 pairs of trainers.

It is just one of those things you just have to live with and walk away from. Contacting customs in any way will not end well for you. Just ignore any correspondence and buy your trainers elsewhere.
 
They are not going to arrest you or sue you for 3 pairs of sneakers.
Move on. They will be destroyed in the pile of another crap fakes that UK citizens had ordered.
