1K is nothing when it comes to selling the cover and/or pinned post.

You might lose that 1k you already have if you start doing it now. I'd say consider working on it when you reach 50K.

For me, yes. I admin a group about millennial stuff. We (I and other admins) only decided "accepting" when we hit 50k. It's pretty much a viral page, I could have started the ads at 30k. But yeah, we decided when it hit 50k and the price reasonable because of the huge following.

I start very gently at 5K, move a tad more aggressively at 10K and @ 20K I get all kinds of takers.
I offer a package to them up to 20K and then rent each spot individually.

That's awesome. I was thinking that it was pretty much okay to somehow "demand" when you have the following. That's what we actually focused on, then consider price increase when we reach 70k, 100k, and so on.

We admin just under 35 groups and have a nice revenue stream from them for about 20 minutes of work per day total.
Most advertisers pay with credit cards but I do have 2 that mail a check on a monthly basis.

I advertise on the cover to generate the advertisers.

I rent the cover.
I rent the pinned post.
I market to those that want to join with a couple of automated questions.
I send a welcome message to the members before they reach 50 (you can't send one to more than 50 at a time) new members.
I market products and services to the group that are germane to the theme of the group.

You are leaving a ton of money on the table if you are not offering that well before 500K.
I've never been ghosted and have been doing that for over 2 years in groups well below 500K.

im doing that for both, pages / groups and also have to be owned by me, on pages for example, unless you have + 500,000 fan, you will get hurt by dmca / copyright reports on videos / photos etc.
plus it's a good number to make good income, it's okay to wait

Usually they rent for a fairly long time so it must be working... it is rare that they cancel inside of a 10 - 12 months.
