This method is so EASY, give up if it doesn't make you £££/$$$!

just got myself into cpale@d so i'm ready to start designing a flyer

Great idea and spin on an already proven method of offline advertising.

I'm about to pay compliment, and add an additional angle that could easily take the conversions through the roof, ultimately making your expenses minimal.

Ready? You're going to shit yourself at how ridiculous this is going to get...

Use the basics in niche marketing and target your parking lots/CPA offers down to a specific niche - one that is much more laser pointed than your typical free grocery store coupon... Think about this for a second...

What if you took the time to actually build what appears to be a "legitimate", content driven niche website... find an offer which specifically relates to that niche... and place it in the parking lots of smaller, but niche related stores.

For example:

1-target furniture and lighting store parking lots.

2-sign up for the affiliate program @ LampsPlus.com or something similar (pay between 8% and 20% USD on sales)

3-generate an affiliate link for their latest discount/seasonal promotion (usually involves a percentage or dollar amount discount on purchases between a certain date.)

4-print off your bomb ass flyers/business cards, tastefully advertising the promotion, your affiliate website, and the benefits that come with this awesome offer.

5-do this for 2 weeks and watch your website traffic spike, clicks go through and commissions start to roll in daily.

You guys get where I'm going with this right?

What our buddy from Scotland laid out was the fool proof method - now take that method and target it even further. The more targeted you go with the different steps involved, the better your profits.

The parking lots are your consumer base, they are your market. Don't just bomb any parking lot. Don't just build any old website. Buy a great domain name, find a great affiliate offer which targets a specific retail product/market in your local area, build the best website you can using all of the killer IM tricks you've been reading about, and bomb parking lots of stores which directly relate to your offer.

Take it a step further (after out sourcing etc) and start to track which parking lots perform better than others. Use a Wordpress plugin like GoCodes or PrettyLinks to generate/track your urls and use a different url for each parking lot.

Take that a step further and test different ad copy vs. store vs. offer...

It's all right in front of you guys - it's not rocket science.

If you really wanted to, you could run the most basic form of a method like this and have a $500+ weekend easily.

The only secret is that you have to actually go out and do it - stop reading about shit and start putting what you know into action. Who cares if it works or not. Do it and you will find out why or why not.

Good luck peoples. Don't swarm me with PM's - post up your questions in the thread and you will get your answers from someone.

If anybody wants to add to the parking lot/CPA method - please share.

Peace.

Just got my first thou copies made at Kinkos. Black/white half A4 size for 47$, not a bad deal.

I recommend having two half page copies printed on one page, then having them cut them for a small fee. Cheaper that way.

Killer tip - there are tons of ways to cut costs when you're doing your first few parking lot bombings. Once the money comes in, which it will if you take action, you can then start to set a budget and begin scaling the method.

Btheory, mind sharing some of your cost cutting tips?

Next go I'll try your niche-targeted twist and compare. Sounds interesting.

Hi dude,

this post is awesome. I also like the idea on target specific areas for specific offers.

My question is how can I manage to hire school kids doing this stuff and make sure they actually do it while I am sitting in Germany?

Thanks.

First of all I would like to say great idea and I have a great twist I'm going to throw on it. I just don't understand how the sms things works. Can you explain that better. How do you get them to txt the number then get the url of your website, it doesn't make sense... or maybe im just misinterpreting it.

I would also like to say that I disagree with this guy:
Just my two cents as to legal issues ... bear in mind that I live in the US where I've worked in retail management for over 20 years.

First of all, if you put the store logo on your flyer you're committing copyright and/or trademark infringement - Wal-Mart, BestBuy, etc. WILL stop you or at the very least report you to the CPA network.

Second, most stores, shopping centers, and strip malls will have NO Trespassing policies posted and/or local ordinances outlawing such activities in MOST (Not all) areas. They'll likely tell you to leave and not come back the first time, although if you get a small town cop they may make you retrieve all the flyers you put out or accept a ticket and it's accompanying fine.

Third, it's considered fraud in the US to offer something you don't have no matter what it is -

So HAVING SAID THAT ....

The easy solution would seem to be:

1) Don't use any store's logo or graphics.
2) Follow Allenlikewo's idea and hit apartment complexes OR (my idea) cars parked on the steet in busy areas where it's legal.
3) If you can make enough cash doing this - why not buy ONE real gift card and advertise a "Chance To Win A FREE $100 Wal-Mart gift Card?" And then ACTUALLY give it away! Then you could take them to a website showing the previous winner(s)

Any thoughts?

It's not copyright infringement as long as you have a disclaimer stating that you are not(and not associated with) the company. For example, there is a powerade commercial that shows a gatorade bottle and talks about calories and stuff like that and then shows powerade zero etc. How come they aren't sued? because they are simply stating the truth. This happens all the time. You can say "win a wal-mart gift card" and have a picture of one with the wal-mart logo on it. There are millions of CPA offers that do that. Just make sure your small print says something along the lines of this:

This is an independent sweepstakes run by a third party company and is not associated with any of the above listed merchants or brands. The above listed merchants or brands in no way endorse or sponsor this offer and are not liable for any alleged or actual claims related to this offer. The above listed trademarks and service marks are the marks of their respective owners. INSERT COMPANY NAME is responsible for sending you to a third party website who is then solely responsible prize fulfillment under their terms and conditions. We do not guarantee accurate representation of the actual third party offer as it may change at any time. Trademarks, service marks, logos, and/or domain names (including, without limitation, the individual names of products and retailers) are the property of their respective owners.

then send them to your site and have them go to a CPA offer. It should work out.

Also just a tip, if you're doing this at walmart (and your city has a large hispanic population) you might want one side of the flier to by in spanish. I don't know about you but where I live there are lots of spanish speakers and walmart.

I have one more question. Where should I get my fliers printed?

Thanks

Some more good additions there to the original idea. However one thing I would add is that I believe to make the most out of this method everyone should be sending their traffic to a squeeze page and getting these people on a list. Too many people on here think too short term, you could do this method, scaled up for 6 months and ahve a list which you could make a full time income from for years if you do it properly. I won't be going in to how to promote effectively to your opt in list though because that is another topic all together.

Anyway by doing this it turns a $500 a weekend in to a long term income stream to boot. You can promote to these people for as long as they stay subscribed to your list, why make just a few $'s from someone filling out an email submit when you can get them to fill out multiple other 'free' offers you mail them about down the line? If they will go to the bother of joining your list they are a hungry consumer begging to be rinsed over and over with free offers :D

Oh and if you did want to go down the laser targetting niche idea (which is a good idea if you really want to scale this method right up and seriously hit it hard) then you can make unlimited aweber opt in forms for the same opt in list and stick them on every niche site you use for every unique store. That way when they sign up to the list, your first response should be a list with all the current offers you provide/stores you hit. They will obviously see the store they were at in thsi list BUT, you think they will really just fill out that free offer? No, they will fill out at least a couple fo the other offers there that take their fancy. There you have got even more value from your lead straight away, not to mention any other offers you hit them with in future.

You don't have to make this complicated, it really is simple stuff if you just put your mind to it and most importantly (don't want to sound like a broken record) go out and do it.

Hitting them up multiple times isn't going to work for me.

Promoting a loan-scheme where people who fall for it will be financially ruined for the rest of their lives. And 60 bucks a pop goes to me.

I found some great, FREE flyer distributers. Just give some thought to which employees would be willing to hand out flyers for free in additional to their normal tasks.

Just to let you know IM's in UK. I can deliver the cheapest price for printing quality flyers in UK. I will post my prices here later on. Now need to go to sleep.......

Great post anyway.......will try it definately.

"I can provide small design charge and the cheapest quality printing in UK"

email/zip submit offer that you have redirected/iframed on your domain

Can someone explain this pls ? What kind of offer i can iframe ? Link pls ?
Ty

This wouldn't be a great idea because it could become a store trademark infringement. Why? Well because you would be using the store's logo to convince people to actually fill out the CPA/text offer which would be a scam because your offering something you don't have.

The store has already given permission to use their logo to promote the offer. How is this different than promoting it online???

this happens to me often in BHW
Thats why i asked the question here

So, as it's been 8 years since this thread posted, the link is long gone and we can't find out what was the method.

However, after reviewing the comment section a couple of times, I got several of the stages figured out:

1. Create a website that'll host a landing page of your choice, preferably promoting a chance to win a gift card from a specific store.

2. print out some flyers to be put on cars in parking lots\busy streets. Make the flyer look authentic and use the store's symbol (Legit or not - you choose whether to put it or not).

3. people will type in the url, fill out some CPA or other offer using their email.

4. Something about pay per text - couldn't figure out.

5. Profit

Now - obviously i'm missing a lot of sub-stages in between "my" stages listed here, but I reckon that that's the heart of it.

If someone can provide the full method (Maybe some of you who posted on this very post back then...) we all would love to know. PLEASE SHARE IT!

Not sure why the OP has been removed. So this method is about putting a flyer on a car parking in front of a supermarket and on the flyer there is an email submit offer from the store, e.g. you go to walmart parking space and use a walmart gift card email submit offer on the flyer? and what is the part about SMS texting then?
I am not sure if this will work well, because if someone takes the flyer and asks the manager of the store about this promotion, and they do not know about it because the cpa offer is not run by them, maybe they will not go to the website because they think it is a scam?

Your guess is as good as mine at this point as we don't have the op.

I tried to sum up the stages as I understood them, but couldn't figure out about the pay per text thing.
