On-Page SEO - Best Practices for Image Attributes

I’m looking to bolster my on-page SEO skills and want to learn more about best practices for image attributes. Currently, I optimize the first image of my pages with my main keyword and the rest of the images with LSI keywords. My filename, title, and alt text are all the same. It looks something like this:

Image Title: My Great Keyword
Image Filename: my-great-keyword.jpg
Image Alt Text: My Great Keyword

Here are my questions:

1. Is having the title, filename, and alt text the same the best practice for SEO purposes? Does it make a difference if I mix and match the LSI keywords in those fields?
2. Does it make sense to use LSI keywords in image optimization, or should I use secondary keywords that I may have other pages optimized for?

I realize that it's more about providing a good experience for the user, but if I can accomplish that give the search engines what they want, that's what I'd like to do. Sorry if this is common knowledge, I’m fairly new to this level of on-page SEO. Thanks for the help!

you're doing just fine. pair your great-keyword in the title and alt image with a great descriptive texts

That looks good. You can use your keyword in your filename so Google knows what your image is all about. Alt text purpose is to make it available to readers with visual impairments. So including a keyword or making it more descriptive will be much better. Make sure your alt text really describes your image.

I do it a bit differently.

Keyword: my great keyword
Image title: my great keyword long-tail
Image filename: my great keyword
Image alt text: LSI of my great keyword

Every image after that, my look like this:

Keyword: my great keyword
Image title: my great keyword long-tail 2
Image filename: LSI of my great keyword
Image alt text: LSI of my great keyword

I also target the keywords directly to suggested searches for the keyword from Google, or even to the rich snippet(sometimes Google will pull the image from top image vs the rich snippet post, so it is a chance to steal a bit of traffic)

by this do you mean you pull the suggested searches for the main keyword and insert them into your alt text, filename etc?

google not stupid just the file named the
image is enough.

i advise use a wp plugin to make the image fast to load also use a seo plugin for the seo of the image .

are you saying you would just name the first image and leave the rest of the images blank or are you saying to just name the images and dont worry about optimizing the alts and titles?
