Bitcoin $250,000 by 2022

If Bitcoin hits 250k the transaction fees will be 250$ per transaction BTC is useless as fuck. Will never happen.

The beauty of Bitcoin and blockchain is that it's decentralized. Nobody, no government or private organization owns it. The community adjusts it to its needs.
In case of BTC hitting $250k, the transaction fee might indeed be $250 for a 1BTC transaction to anywhere in the world. but that's 1/1000 of the amount transferred. Try that with any bank. Good luck with that.

You are thinking in terms of the old (current) economy, where a few rich people take advantage of the rest, to fill their pockets.
You should support this new economy. You'll be much better off.

I'm pretty sure that transaction fee will be couple of 1000's USD and not just 250 in case BTC hits 250K.

Wait, so all this insane price action isn’t because of a bunch of “whales” (a few rich people) trying to manipulate the price, technical analysis and try to rip money out of peoples pockets?

What you say is true. Happens in the stockmarkets too.
These people know like no other how to manipulate the markets and when to buy or sell.
OK. Prices are very volatile. Anybody could make a possible benefit.
Thanks to this new technology it's very easy to get involved. That alone shows the power of it.
But it is not the intention of crypto that everyone becomes an active trader. Far from.
If you don't know what you're doing, keep your hands off.
That goes for everything. Don't people understand that?

My father in law gives me $100 every month to by crypto. In his case, Litecoin and Monero (not investment advice, just telling).
It's what he used to spend on lottery. Doesn't buy lottery anymore.
So if he loses everything, no worries. He would have lost that money anyway. Pure math.
But in this case, the odds are more in his favor.
We are doing this already 18 months.
And I can tell you, he's not complaining :)
He didn't sell his house to buy crypto when it spiked in december. No. The same $100.
Like I said before, use your brain. Don't be greedy and invest wise.

BTC went from cents to 20k in less than a decade. I think it can hit six figures in the near future.

As far as I know, the level at which people are manipulating the market in crypto is higher than that of the stock markets, and the small market cap only adds to the ability for someone to move the market. I’m not sure exactly where the line is drawn with market manipulation, but the authorities have done a good deal to keep investors safe, much more than in crypto.

@Extruser that is an awesome strategy of buying in, I think more people should be disciplined and try something with low risk like that. The lottery is something that really bugs me only because I can’t see how someone would willingly give a 15% edge (or somewhere around there) to gamble. Just saving it or investing it like that is so much more productive for any individual, so thank you for helping someone break from that habit!

Just to be clear, I’m very pro-blockchain technology. I just think bitcoin, and ALL other cryptos have a long way to come technology wise and with regards to regulation. I tell this to my friends who ask: Don’t put your money in bitcoin, especially not right after this massive spike last fall. Wait, and learn, because there will be a day in the future that blockchain is integrated into everyday life, and when that day comes, it will pay off

If only he was a statistician ;)

I think it can hit 7 figs, I wouldn't listen to guys who payed $40 for it though, and own an exchange, plus got royally zucked but as long as their are dictators and bad actors I see the value in ltc,monero/btc

The $250,000 was predicted by Tim Draper, the same person who predicted it would hit $10,000 by 2018, back in 2016 and people thought he was crazy - it got to double that.

Reporter: "right now, just so our viewers know it stands at $413 per Bitcoin - long way to go" she says smugly.

Not gonna happen mate
We might never know mate...
When BTC was $0.06 and if someone would have even told it would hit $1000 in the next few years, he/she would have been laughed at ...
$100,000 - $150,000 is likely to happen if all the Alts do well too and there wouldn't be much scamming around by fake ICO's and governments trying to regulate or centralize them ...

If shooting someone in head was not considered a crime.
