Water Filtration Systems Niche

Hey fellow blackhatters, I've been grinding for the past week learning everything that I can about starting my own SMMA. I've managed to get a local Water Filtration System business to let me run their page and facebook ads as a free trial since it benefits both of us. If I start producing results I could get up to a $2000 monthly retainer.

I'm very new to internet marketing and this niche seems to be pretty untapped as far as social media marketing goes so I don't have many examples to look at. Do any of you more experienced members have an idea of where I should start doing my niche research to start converting paid traffic into free water test appointments?

Any tips and help will be useful to me! Thanks guys.

I haven't done any advertising in that niche but I'm a water filtration freak myself and have an r/o system. If this were my client I would post articles or studies showing the bad things in our water or that federal site that shows the water toxin reports for each city. Highlight how bad these things can be for cancer and children, etc.

BTW, I've never sold water filtration systems but I have been involved in building huge ones for the bottled water industry so I know a bit about them. I did sell bottled water as a sales person, a sales manager, a general manager and as an owner for years and I often added in a tad bit of the unknown as to what was coming out of their tap when "discussing" things.

I once heard a morning radio talk show host complaining about the taste of his coffee, drove over there with a water cooler and 10 bottles of water, told him it was free to try and to see how it would make difference in his coffee and suggested that the amount of impurities was not only causing his coffee to taste like crap, it could also be causing an issue in terms of health and that could put the station at risk for a lawsuit if some disgruntled employee filed a lawsuit.

Had that account until I sold the business.
