Nice job man most people cant even go 1 day and the fact youre only going for raw food makes it even more notable, not to mention the additional health benefits.

Maybe you will realize more of a difference after you go back to meat/dairy but who knows. Like you said, everyone is different.

I know the urge to eat meats/dairy is difficult to overcome at first, but eventually you wont crave them anymore.

Mate you just need balanced diet, not this vegan bullshit.. and I can guarantee you that you wont have energy boost from broccoli .. :)

Im not vegan by any means. But this is just complete bullshit.

The nutritional value of meat is way overrated. Meat does not offer any more value than veggies.

You can easily get everything from a vegan diet. Including stuff like protein. Meat does not give you any form of "energy boost"... that is just bullshit. Need energy? Eat enough calories.

Try black bean burgers if you haven't already.

And cauliflower pizza dough with veggies is also pretty decent.

Good luck

Also, replace bean patty with portabello mushrooms is good af too

I went vegan last september and I gotta say, Best decision yet. I feel much better overall, but energy levels are the same. I also lift and manage to grow muscle on a plant based diet. I do eat meat about 1-3 times/ month (cant live without Mc Donalds, haha)
If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

ffs lol, by your definition of a vegan, then everybody on BHW must be vegan

Anyway OP, be careful, it has been scientifically proven that a vegan diet can turn some people into complete knobs, so watch for any changes. Good luck with it.

Keto is fun. I did it for a month and lost 15 lbs. All I ate was bacon, cheese, and other ridiculous stuff where people would look at me like WTFFFFF

I remember my first days haha :D Most important is found good and fast recipes :D
PS: Welcome to light side of the force :)

Hey Alex, when I've read your post it reminded me of this video

:D

I tried once vegan diet (not voluntary, i had some issues) and at first it went good but after a few weeks I started feeling depressed, low energy, at the gym i had to lower my workout weights ... well.. in short it wasn't a pleasant experience and once my issues were fixed I went back to my original diet (Keto for the most part). :)

For a week - and not just vegan. We're talking just raw veggies and fruit, for the most part. Some rice cakes to give me the illusion of being full perhaps.

Never thought I'd be one to try this, but yeah. I'm starting to feel bloated these days, and I had some stomach issues a couple months ago, so I really really need to work on my diet. Been hitting the gym for years now (although with long, few-month breaks at times), but the dieting part is something I never got right. I've been following someone on Instagram who keeps talking about veganism and detoxifying and how great it is so I decided to do a 7-day experiment and give it a shot. Dude's also a gym owner and he seems to know his stuff. This is supposed to be called holistic health or something. I watched Food Inc this week and not feeling too good about the meat I've been eating, so off to GMO cucumbers it is.

I also have a stupid habit of watching something on YouTube while I eat and then continuing to eat until it ends. Sometimes it ends before I finish my meal so I move on to another video and... it's a vicious cycle. So I've been thinking how the fuck can you overeat broccoli amirite.

This is just a step towards eating somewhat healthier, and perhaps feeling better and have more energy along the way. Please note that starting this thread is in now way a commitment and there's no guarantee I'll last until the end of the day even.

Will post updates for your entertainment. Off to consume a couple grams of raw ginger, FML.

I’m doing a vegetarian diet for the past 3 weeks. I don’t think I could handle vegan though.

I'm vegetarian for some years, would love to go vegan so I'm don't consume nothing from animals.
But to addicted to cheese and butter

goodspeed keto

My food eats vegetables, so therefore my food is made of vegetables, so therefore I am a vegetarian...
I mean, cows eats veggies, so they are made of veggies...

In all honesty, I gave up any form of dieting and have just created a lifestyle form of eating for myself. Some days I'll consume 200+ grams of protein, with minimal carbs/sugars. On the days d want to eat carbs, I will only eat from kid menus, then usually half those. Like a happy meal, 1/2 bun, kids fry. I'll usually order a double cheeseburger as well with no bun.

My way of eating disgusts my girlfriend, offends my vegetarian mother, but keeps me feeling good, and lost a mountain of weight.

Day 5: The gf fried chicken in front of me. Broke up with the douchebaggette.

There's nothing wrong with going full vegan, I'm not sure why some people here are against it. Just as long as you're not one of those vegans who feel the need to push their opinion on everyone at every meal, do whatever makes you and your body feel right.

Personally, I haven't gone vegan, but I found that juicing greens, a decent diet + exercise does wonders for your body. I buy greens at my local market for about $15 and it lasts me roughly a week - well worth the investment.

If you decide to go back to meat after your 7 day cleanse, give it a shot.

You have courage... I can't imagine myself without some meat food...

Once you find yourself telling random people about your wonderful diet, you've gone too far. Six weeks in you will probably start posing videos of slaughter houses on Facebook.
