They definitely index but the index times can vary. If you’re in a rush you can try force indexing it.

Sorry but i really don't see the point in having Google linking to your site, as you stated it won't do anything for you rankings and for link diversification of your profile there are better sources out there.... It was a nice read but i really don't see the value of these type of links...

Of course there are better sources out there for link diversification. This is just one of them.
And they do help with rankings - this has been tested by us throughout the last few years. Maybe not the same direct effect as a strong PBN link, but then again what links these days provide immense value (that are essentially free to build)? For the time and cost it takes to build this link, I don't see anything wrong with having it in your backlink profile. When people are building shitty web 2.0's, blog comments, forum profiles, "EDU" links, there's nothing senseless in building a link like this. We've built these links on a large scale for our bigger clients and it has only ever helped.
Link building these days is about diversification - there's only so many links you can build that everyone knows about. What do you do after that? If you're in a BH niche then sure, this may not interest you much but I work with clients who are in long term, solid niches and we always need to look out for new and unused link building opportunities. Just because a link isn't as strong as you imagine doesn't mean you ignore it. All quality links work well together and it's all part of building a mixed backlink profile. You're not going to harm your website by building this link, but you could potentially see improved results instead. I'll take my chances

Maybe it would have been better if I picked a legit keyword so that we could track its live ranking. If anyone else has built this link recently to one of their main keywords, please keep me updated with your rankings
