Guess was only a matter of time so after the Demise of CL personal you guys who are into this have to find a new Target.

One article here

“Backpage.com and affiliated websites have been seized as part of an enforcement action by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, and the Internal Revenue Service Criminal Investigation Division, with analytical assistance from the Joint Regional Intelligence Center,”

First craigslist personals....

now the backpage????

Internet censorship is hear to stay :(

The owners were actively working to help child sex traffickers.

"Backpage knowingly concealed evidence of criminality by editing advertisements; Backpage was aware it was facilitating prostitution and child sex trafficking; and Backpage was sold to an unknown foreign entity but the former owners of the site are still making millions from it. "

It is not censorship, CL closed down on their own since the risk from lawsuits of victims was too much. Backpage was a criminal enterprise and the property of criminal enterprises gets seized.

I see, I use eros anyways ;)

Girls are of much better quality on there...

Craigslist and backpage had them $50 yum yum specials...

Keep drinking the Kool Aid Mdow. censorship is here and the internet just got a whole lot boring

A domain is property, a server is property. Both can be seized if they were involved in illicit activities. If Backpage had deleted or reported suspicious ads instead of removing keywords they would have never got in trouble.

Thats actually crazy, I just used it last weekend to hire strippers for my bachelor party in Vegas. They were no where close to as good looking as the chicks in the postings incase anyone was wondering.

1. Hookers are dumb
2.160$ per hour on backpage
3. Prostitutes mostly illegal

Just found this out a few minutes ago when I went to their site with the intention of vetting their traffic volume lately as a lead source... Definitely glad none of my domains ended up associated with this Fiasco by association

Let me state that with regulation prostitution is no worse that a titty bar imo but I can tell you personally that backpage and the people running it are pedophile or completely ok with pedophilia (same for youtube) I wont get into details but after reporting the ad of a known underage girl to local authorities nothing was done. (fair enough big city lots of crime blah, blah ,blah) So I reported the ad to backpage along with some photos with the girl at high school. Nothing was done after over 10 reports and emails. I resorted to posting RE: ads informing potential unknowing customers that she was underage. My post were removed but the underage girl post remained untouched. Long story short Fuck backpage and every other pedophile.
Off my soapbox now...........
With the closing of bp and cl personals does this mean there is room or a need for something like this? There are still many escort review sites operating currently so I will be interested if those will be on the chopping block next.
PS youtube has a 36yr old pimp who was convicted of impregnating a 13 year old girl doing live chats and "talking" to young woman and underage girls about the life style of being a prostitute (PM for paperwork) . Again nothing has been done on youtubes end to detour this but you get your account banned for using public music on your videos (PM for paper work)

Costs more for something tou could get for cheap/free on tinder. All you're doing with escorts is buying fake love and wasting money
Agreed 100%... I have never and would never pay for it, and really have no need to...lol getting laid really isn't that hard

Axing site owners for users' behavior.

"The move against Backpage came just days before President Trump is expected to sign a new anti-sex-trafficking bill that passed both houses of Congress with overwhelming support. The bill initially was controversial because it alters a key internet law that protects tech companies from liability for user-generated content on their platforms." -- https://www.wired.com/story/feds-seize-backpagecom-site-linked-to-sex-trafficking/

I was concerned about this for posting https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/have-you-ever-been-in-trouble-due-to-reader-comments.1015983/#post-10888438

I did not mean anything similar to BP's case which is criminal but about internet laws.

Censorship if any, must start from Movies and TV Shows because the vulgar content shown in them creates the DEMAND, while classified sites only serve the SUPPLY part. However getting strict on Movies and TV shows is not possible for governments because they earn money from it :(, so it gets labeled as freedom.

They don't create the demand, the demand is already there from the population numbers. Any tv show or movie that has promoted prostitution has only done so of two consenting adults.

Disagree. The talk about consenus is not relevant here at all as we are not discussing an isolated TV show. It is very simple to understand, if kids born in a society are subjected to vulgar content everywhere, they obviously won't grow up as saints. The seed you sow determines the crop you reap. In simple words, KARMA.
