Disagree. The talk about consenus is not relevant here at all as we are not discussing an isolated TV show. It is very simple to understand, if kids born in a society are subjected to vulgar content everywhere, they obviously won't grow up as saints. The seed you sow determines the crop you reap. In simple words, KARMA.

Don't you find it weird, in the "land of the free", the government can pass retrospective criminal laws and potentially put you away for the rest of your life?

Backpage was a criminal enterprise for changing/modifying the ads yes (arguably), but they didn't directly break the law until the new law was passed this month.

They were breaking laws for a long time, the new law had nothing to do with it. When the bill passed the legislative branch it was still a bill, it didn't become a law until today when it was signed.
