I have to disagree you will get caught that way, im pretty sure i think i know how he did it.
But anyway try to mention lile 10000 people your way i think you will get blocked for sure

Was just my results from my little test:) .
Good or bad I just share it, maby you guys know more as I'm not into instagram :)
 
@Ecodor ,

You just make a custom bot for instagram what works on your mobile phone. That's my opinion after I done that test.

Take one of your accounts , put it on mobile and do as it said :)

I'm not trying to contradict you, as I'm not in instagram game at all.
 
So guys , I put 27 mentions ( I got bored to do more lol ) every 4-6seconds, done manually from my mobile. I got no temporary ban ;)

I will go and eat something and after try to do 100 mentions with 5-8 seconds between them.

Ohhh when I do them manually you can chose the verified accounts .

For exemple @a and all accounts starting with letter 'a' will appear, and you can chose the blue badge one !
 
@memovlad the chances to get banned working on your phone is very low because whatever you do you are doing it manual... so is legit i think, but not abuse it xD
 
How he did it? It's easy. There was a bug on Instagram maybe 2 months ago. I did it with 3,5M mentions in two weeks doing exactly the same, but without tagging verified users. You can scrape them though and tag them instead if you wish.
 
i think everyone can do it with some bot commenting waiting between 5-10 seconds after each 5 comments

You think that everyone who reads BHW earns no money? I have 10 freelancers who handle all the job. If I earn that much money I may not use the BHW? Your logic is just stupid. I like BHW and I am reading it everyday. By the way, about that tagging trick, I did the exploit and some repatching (took me 3 days to figure out) and running the script to auto-comment the users (have the list over 40M verified accounts).

The main post states it was done with a botnet. If these users use instagram normally tagging a user wouldn't be hard. The hard part would to not gwt the main account closed. With this i would try and buy hq likes/comments/follows to make it look like the post went viral
 
New update, now he 9 mentions profiles in 1 comment. reached 1.7m comments yet and continuously.
