Hi guys, I posted like 3 articles on my website and now I want to buy some backlinks (web 2.0s, PBN links etc).
What could happen if some services from here are shitty? Will I get penalized or will my website not rank? I just want to test some services from the marketplace and see how it goes. So... I need to know what could happen.

Thanks in advance!

Strange comment ; "What could happen if some services from here are shitty?"

Who says the services are going to do damage ? What works on one site isn't guaranteed to work on another, unless the sites are alike.

So your onpage is perfect and there's been no pevious shitty offpage done to your site, or previous penalties?

I just need to know what could happen if their service is not good (bad content, spam links etc) .. what could happen to my site.

My onpage is not ''perfect'' - it's alright (just need to optimize more things). I didn't do any offpage and have no previous penalties :)

Spam link can do damage and cause penalties. Don't go for cheap links, look for quality sellers where links will remain in place.

Spun content is nothing to worry about for Tier2, but for Tier1 go for manual content.

All depends too on your budget mate, as well as your expectations.

If you're unsure about linking services from the marketplace, just create a good tier 1 of websites with niche related unique content, wait until that content starts to rank, and then buy backlinks to your tier 1 properties. If they go up in the rankings, only then you put a link in there to your money site.

Thanks guys, I will take that into consideration!

If you want to test, than test it.
Use a dummy page. Yours or one that you can find on the internet. See how it goes. Does it's rank improves?

Or you can read the reviews and ask for samples.

I agree. What works for others may not work with your case. Go for trial and error if you have a dummy account to use, so you won't be wasting any effort.

Yes, but this is often an excuse if quality is medicore to shitty. Great stuff works great for most sites, at least if the onpage quality is reasonable. I'd personally go the longer own PBN route. Why?

Most services are tailored towards people not able or not willing to really invest in SEO. They must be affordable to get a volume of sales making all the work worth it. Volume means you need a lot of domains. An upfront investment. The more you spend upfront, the longer it takes to just get the initial investment back. The less you pay attention to domain quality beyond a few flashy metrics, the more agressively you whore out your network, the less you spend on content, the more posts with links you add vs posts without links, the more you automate everything, the more profit you make. I don't say all services are crap, they have to deliver some results, but neverless there is always some sort of conflict of interest.

These best thing to do is go with reputable services with great reviews from previous customers. Dont just waste money on companies that offer backlink/seo services based off of what they promise. I always do thorough research before investing money with any company. I typically google the company first to see if they have been involved in any scams or bad customers experiences and or just use services in bhw forums if the forums members are posting positive reviews. Good luck

Ask the sellers about his service before order any service. what's they going to provide you many sellers here build tier 1 with automation which is harmful for site be sure he is doing all tier 1 work manually. automation for tier 2 & tier 3 good to boost pass link juice.

Also tell what expect from his service & if there service fulfill your expectations

Why are you capitalizing every word in your sentence?

@OP - Penalties are uncommon from PBNs due to neg SEO slowing. You should be fine with either no movement or positive movement.

I risked a few random services (both BHW and other marketplaces) in early March. Overall went from like 70th to 8th and climbing.

Buying shitty backlinks can harm your website. If you are buying backlinks, buy from high authority sites.

Every backlink has its place. Even 'garbage' links can / should point to your money site.

In general you want the following pointing to your website:

1. Guest Posts
2. Pbn links
3. High quality web 2.0s

A variety of other links are helpful. Press Releases, Image Links, Doc Sharing, Forum Links, social media profiles, etc.

The biggest things you need are:

1. Every link pointed to your site should have unique content.
2. Every link pointed to your site should be niche related.
3. Every link to your site should mimic your competition.
4. Your anchor ratios must be correct.

You need contextual links to rank. You need unique content.

But as far as garbage links go, you still want some 'junk' as that is natural. As long as the links do not appear automated you are fine.

The other huge issue is anchor text ratios. Seo anchors are a lot different than natural anchors. Look into your competitions kinks and anchors with ahrefs, moz and majestic and mimic what they do. Even the best sites have junk links. As long is the junk doesnt loon intentional, you will rank.

If you're nervous and want to test out a specific backlink service here, test it with a disposable site of yours on a different host with private whois information.

Track that bad boy and see what happens.

Patience is key with SEO afterall.

I use shitty links most of the time and they dont help much in rankings, Tested.

Also - you could setup some 2.0 properties and buy one of these backlink services to those.

That would be a decent test in my eyes.
