[Tutorial] How To Get 10% CTR & $0.10 CPC With FB Ads

Great post, thanks for the info. If you don't mind me asking, what is the purpose of your ad placements? Drive traffic to your facebook page, drive traffic to product or CPA offer, etc.

Thanks!

Good question. Its to 1) Grab the attention of the person scrolling. 2) Pre-qualify them and pre-sell them on what they stand to gain - so they're not confused when they click the link. And lastly 3) To get them my landing page and convert them into a lead or paying customer.

Hi IamNRE,

Thanks for this. When you say "Pre-quality/pre-sell" you mean do that within the ad text/photo correct (before they click on the linke)? Also, I understand that using landing pages are safer with Facebook - do you get their emails before sending them through to the offer?

Cheers,

Yes, pre-sell them, pre-qualify them before they click.

Something like "Who else wants a free iPad 2? I came across this site and they're giving away 200 iPads to anyone over 18 that's from the US that's willing to fill out a short survey... If you want yours then hurry up, I got mine..."

That sort of thing.

Sometimes you want to capture their e-mail and send them follow up offers via e-mail (most of the time I don't because I'm not a e-mailer), but its a good way to filter out tire-kickers - ensuring that you only send top quality traffic to the CPA offer's landing page, and it also lets you build a decent quality custom audience if you don't have the means to put your FB pixel on the actual "thank you page" of the offer you're promoting.

Awesome, thanks mate!

Thanks for the tutorial. I will keep this bookmarked for later.

I've started to experiment with facebook ads as well. I think the best thing to do is to A/B test. I don't have a lot of experience with running ads but my most successful campaign included the word "free".

New campaign targeting the US. (newsfeed, mobile only).

CTR 20% - 39%.

--------

Same principles as discussed in the original OP. No text in image - just make sure it stands out and is HD.

Only thing different is the ad copy.

1) Use very simple English a retarded 5th grader would be able to read and understand.

2) Keep it super short and sweet.

3) Include Benefit In Title and In The Description use 2 Benefits.

i.e

Headline: Get More Women Than Bill Cosby

Description: Discover how you can get a new woman in bed everyday and never be lonely again.
