Some advise from a newbie

I thought id give a small piece of advise that has helped me a bit though im sure many know this already..

After you write many posts for a new blog and once you see you rankings coming in..I suggest to analyse each page and compare your pages to each other.. Look at your keyword density, writing style, interlinks, outgoing links, LSI keywords and ofcourse the inbound links.

Do this with all your pages and try to make out if theres any correlation with the rankings..Then replicate positive aspects to other pages which don't rank.

I tried this and has helped me for a few pages

So what changes you made to your pages which helped in ranking? Be specific. It will help us.

i noticed a few high ranking pages had more lsi keywords and a keyword density between 1-1.5 .. though i know everyone knows this, often we can neglect this..my point is that we all do on page seo while writing posts but often forget to analyse months later... a good practice is to go back to your old pages and see what exactly is working for your high ranking pages and do the same for low ranking pages

Some of the points you've shared are good. I also agree with the keyword density that you have shared. I also use 1% all the time for main keywords and I mention secondary keywords 1-2 times

As contentwriter mentioned, focus on branded keywords and not only on your money keyword.

Money keyword - 1%
related keywords - 99%

If I want to rank for chicago seo, I would do this:

seo in chicago
chicago seo tips
www.yourwebsiteurl.com
yourwebsiteurl.com (without www)
and many more related keywords.

Mix your keywords to get the best results. Hope that helps.

Don't overdo keyword density or it will get slap sometime later. I had a site which too used to rank by only focusing on keyword density. Later it got slapped. With my current website, I don't focus much on keyword density but writing naturally.
