Very strange ICO, need advice

Hello everyone, I'm new here and I'd like to share something and see what you guys thought about it. I saw a post recently on reddit which presented a new ICO whose only purpose was to sell a coin for a very high amount of ETH. The site is Pretty straightforward and it says clearly what this is all about: a crowdsale for a useless coin that costs a lot and has very few coins on sale. So, since I have quite a good amount of ETH because I bought it way back when it costed nothing (and I am not considering to do anything different with it for now), I kinda want to buy one of these coins. Just in case you know...
I have participated in some Other ICOs before, some of them promised great things but fell out really short. In this case, I like the fact that they are very straightforward: I am basically tossing some ETH their way for a symbolic token. No scam here, they could not be more clear about it. Still, I am kinda sold. But I'm still not sure 100% so I'm asking around in some messagge boards to get the vibe...I mean: is it "absolutely not!" or "If you feel like it...do it!" ? I've examined hundreds of ICOs and I can assure that this is a scam, and probably you're subtly promoting this scam project.

Sounds like a joke coin and the biggest joke will be the guy left holding it with nobody to sell it to.

Well, it obviously is some kind of joke coin, that is the spirit I would buy it with. I guess I would just throw my ETH away. The reason why I don't see it as a scam is beacause there is no promise of nothing. Maybe I am just using the word in a wrong way

Well, I thank you very much because I am learning a lot of new terms and dynamics that I was not aware of. Next time I'll just ask something like "What kind of scam is this?" so that I don't get accused of shilling right from the start and can still get the info and opinions I need from other people.

Let me ask you a direct question though: if a legit user wants a legit opinion, is it right to censor his or her post? Do I need to have more credibility to ask? Do I need to spare my useless newbie opinion on some other topics to be granted the holy grail ? Feel powerful for changing the name?

If it is my opinion you are only here to promote, yes.

Your first post was to send traffic to an ICO so, yeah, you need more credibility to ask as it comes off like a promotional post.
