Message= when you write in a thread like we`re doing right now
Post= when you actually post something on the forum eg " New Member"

Just be active. That doesn't mean spam everywhere or post inflate. Just join discussions or open a thread if you have a question about something (after you searched if the question isn't already on BHW)

I have a question. If I am looking for services but a seller can't PM me is it a violation to provide the seller my email address in a thread?
