Why is BHW email not considered spam??

I mean just look at how many email from BHW notification that I do not open since I can just open BHW website directly. Why is BHW emails not considered spam? Or do Google knows that I often visit BHW.Do Google spy on Android users??

And as for the email alerts, you can change the settings for this easily - if you click on your forum username in the top righthand corner of the site, then click on preferences, you will see some options regarding alerts and also specifically regarding email notifications - you can untick them as required.

When you signed up did you get a verify email to open/click through/ did you move it into inbox?

I don’t remember it haha. Let’s say I click the verify email. Is that why BHw is not considered as spam??

No, it's highly unlikely that Gmail has whitelisted BHW or any other site. Spam filtering is more of an art and Gmail maintains its own internal spam rank lists. In short, if a site's mail goes to your inbox, they're doing something right.

When bhw emails go into Others folders, that doesn't mean it goes into Spam. It's just Google's way to say "Good but majority says not interesting". So, if many bhw subscribers who use Gmail don't read bhw emails, they go into Others. If multiple users mark bhw emails as Spam, then Gmail moves the emails in Spam. Gmail doesn't know if you subscribed or not, but knows its own filters.

1. It' double-optin, after registration you have confirmed your communication with this domain
2. It's well managed domain, means you need to clear database from bounced and unsubscribed emails
