Blog comments still works in 2018 ?

Blog comments tend to make between 5% and 10% of my best link profiles in terms of direct links. Forum links (sigs etc) about 5-10% as well. They work pretty well in the mix, but unless you are churn and burn (and by all means be churn and burn if you want) the days of all blog commetns and forum spam ranking sites in high commercial markets against tough opposition are mostly in the past.

But...There are always exceptions.

That's one rule Google has taught me.. there are always exceptions.

I make 10~ niche-relevant blog comments for every new review/pillar article that I post. I use a mix of new posts (found via Twitter -> latest for my KW) and old posts (AHRefs -> Content Explorer). I've found that the blog comments help push the majority of my posts to position 50 or better (usually position 8 - 20). They also help you get ranking for those sweet low MS LSI.

Don't just do blog comments. do other type of link building too. Diversify your links. it will surely help you to improve your rank.

Hello everyone, I stumbled on a list of blogs where I can drop comments (they are all do-follow)

Some of these blogs where i dropped my links have do-follow back links from top websites in some of their posts (Washingtons post, Huffingtons post, buzzfeed, BBC, CNN,theguardian.com, foxnews, theatlantic, MOZ, time.com, cbsnews, nbcnews, some gov and edu websites e.t.c)

All these blogs have minimum of DA - 60 and very amazing back link profile

Please guys I want to know if blog comments still works as I can easily get do-follow back links from this kind of websites.

Note: the comment section is not full of spam..

Yeah it's Always works well, Do it Manual Only :)

UPDATE

I'm seeing amazing improvement in serps. From page 7 on my main keyword to page 3 now.

And from page 6 from my other keyword to page 2, presently.

Note: All the links are blog comments only.

I think its time i should start building other links but am afraid the rankings might drop.

Please guy's which other type of links should I build so as not to hurt my rankings.

Thoughts please

too busy to spoonfeed.

You don't need to spoonfeed me. It can be a two-sentenced answer. something like:

"I left 100 niche relevant comments on yada yada sites"

"and one of my keywords jumped xx places in SERP"

If you still respect me, then do let me know please.
