Blog comments still works in 2018 ?

Hello everyone, I stumbled on a list of blogs where I can drop comments (they are all do-follow)

Some of these blogs where i dropped my links have do-follow back links from top websites in some of their posts (Washingtons post, Huffingtons post, buzzfeed, BBC, CNN,theguardian.com, foxnews, theatlantic, MOZ, time.com, cbsnews, nbcnews, some gov and edu websites e.t.c)

All these blogs have minimum of DA - 60 and very amazing back link profile

Please guys I want to know if blog comments still works as I can easily get do-follow back links from this kind of websites.

Note: the comment section is not full of spam..

Yes you can do some blog comments in moderation within your linking campaign, especially if done manually and not spammed to hell.

Wasting time imo and if the blog comments looks spammy, it won't be good for your site.

I prefer building web 2.0s (new and aged), pbn, some edu backlink just to diversify.

If you add real value hell yea. Don't just target Do-Follow.

Blog comments are good for diversity, just avoid the ones with a ton of oubound links. 3 types of links is not diverse enough for me.
