IMHO you should stay away from 1and1, I had a bad experience with them in the past. Godaddy has horrible support. So again, I’d go with either namesilo or namecheap

Agreed, buying a domain for $8 or so as a recurring price is a much better deal

If they respond when you ask for the info to make the transfer... they are not always responsive.

I would rather get a job cleaning sludge from the bottom of barrels than send them any money to buy domains.
