Love being self employed but

Yes, everyone knows people have expenses :p That's why NET counts and why I said your business isn't successful yet. It may be on a good path, but that's not enough for you to go around thinking you've got a successful business **yet**.

When did the OP say he is going around saying he is successful? He said he can't borrow money from his family because they think or know he has a successful business. If I'm making six figures a year and my family didn't have money I wouldn't be asking family for money. OP, I own a tanning salon that has been operating for just over five years and I have debt from borrowing loans (tax deductions) to buy equipment and pay my employees. I think I'm successful because I don't have a boss and I love my job. My suggestion would be to use basstrackerboats suggestion or pay off your debt with your cash flow. Most small businesses have debt because it helps grow their business.

Looks like I stroke a nerve to many people for some reason. So let me make it clear to you - if you have debt (and I'm not referring to tax optimization debt), you're not successful yet. And that's not to spite you, you simply should be fooling others about it, not yourselves.

Here there are some other situations that letting a debt stand is beneficial.
