Ok, let's clear something from my point of view.
The unlisted method won't work unless you do.
Why?
Because unlisted method is not an SEO tool. First of all you need to have good on-page SEO and keyword. Use keyword in title and description, use tags too.(low comp keywords)
Youtube value new videos, remember that.
When you publish the video, for youtube that's new video and give a value for 24h to see if the video will get good engagement.
A video with 10 views and video with 5000 views, which video will rank higher?
Of course the video with 5k views.
The video 1 will rank in 20th position and the video 2 will rank on 5-6 position, which one will get more engagement?
Of course, the video 2 and it will stay in top 20 after 24h but the video 1 will drop in top 100.
And in the end, it's all about testing.
