Will This Impact My Page?

Publishers that rely on clickbait headlines should expect their distribution to decrease. Pages should avoid headlines that withhold information required to understand the content of the article and headlines that exaggerate the article to create misleading expectations. If a Page stops posting clickbait and sensational headlines, their posts will stop being impacted by this change.




Has anyone ever dealt with this penalty of
Lower reach on posts due to post clickbait? Please let me know what your experience was.

No I posted a link that Facebook considered clickbait a few days ago and ever since I’m seeing a decrease in reach on that page only. Does the Reach come back if I stop posting clickbait and if so after how long?

I believe he means it’s based on the penalty time they give you. For instance, it could be a week, two, or even a month. In that time you should stay away from links, especially ones they might consider clickbait.

I’m still trying to figure out why this has happened where they give you lower reach after they feel you’ve posted clickbait.

Has anyone seen their page return to normal after seeing their reach go down?

I found out that if i share links from other sites other than mine, they perform good.. so.. i guess they banned my website... do you guys know if they ban the domain name or the website ip?

If your domain has been blocked facebook they can not be restored.

Now the level of facebook based on time.
Facebook timeline likes fresh content like google.

I've tested it as they update their algorithm.

Some sellers in my country do not know that

When it finds it, it applies a 0 reach page penalty. 1st penalty is 1day, 2nd penalty is 7days, 3rd penalty is 14days, 4th penalty 30days and the 5th penalty will unpublish your page. If you have multiple facebook pages and use the same content it will unpublish all your pages and it will restrict your profile account all actions regarding to facebook pages.

Editing, deleting, creating, renaming or any action regarding facebook pages.

The worst part is that the penalty is applied to your page without any notification whatsoever.

My page was not hit with a zero reach penalty this time for clickbait, it only gets lower reach on every post I make but mostly links and text posts.

I experienced this problem too. and specially with the latest algorithm its really hard to earn and be safe at the same time. I had to lose a few of my pages because of this. since then i have become very careful and now i rely on brand content only. They give me revenue share and up side is that the links are safe for page. Currently i am a publisher at http://www.adublisher.com and i am happy with the results so far. I highly recommend everyone to use only branded content.

Based on my experience. I run a 3 milion page likes network with FAN monetisation. I will write tomorrow my whole journey since the click-bait hunt has begun.

Stop posting engagement bait. For click-bait headlines your page will get a 0 reach penalty and for engagement bait you will reach will only decrease but never drop to 0.

I do not use to post "click bait" headlines... Facebook should provide some kind of a tool for publishers to check if they consider a headline "click-bait", because it is very easy to cross that line without you even notice that you have done it.
