Nowadays, having a good social media strategy is a part of having a good business. But lately, I have noticed that some are committing mistakes in their strategy. Some are still using clickbait, doing spam in the comment section, and just posting articles and not engaging with their audience.

Have you seen common mistakes in some businesses' social media strategy lately? Your comments are highly appreciated.

They wouldn't continue doing it if it didn't work. It's the sad truth. :/
Some people just don't care.
lmao good point but if you are looking for better results its best to use all methods for maximum profits

It's all about profit. We all want to have profit and get our desired results. However, some people are not patient enough and they want their results fast. Thanks for your input!

Many companies might have executed without a solid social media marketing strategy, and you could be one of them.

One user said "impatience," and I completely agree with that. People think that everything happens overnight, and usually, those people don't know anything about social media, engagement, etc. So, to make up for it, they start posting million times a day, and they usually end up annoying their audience.

Yep, a legit long term business will start as a small trickle but will become an unstoppable torrent if nurtured properly.

My take on that whole mess is simple: Someone who needs money YESTERDAY doesn't have the luxury of patience today. I seriously believe most IM newbies are just broke AF and need the quickest, easiest way to make money possible. "Investment" means nothing to these people, only eating and paying bills matters. So setting themselves up for a long, profitable strategy down the road isn't an option.

Yeah, I agree with your real comments :)

I completely understand your point. I think in a practical point of view, someone would definitely choose the quickest and easiest way to get money over choosing something that would take time.

The most generic mistake I see is businesses posting generic boring content about themselves. Oh, and not replying to comments and messages they get.

I second impatience, but the mistake I see even more often is posting solely promotional content about the product. The "me-me-me" posts that don't have too much value for the audience. I usually recommend the "Jab, Jab, Jab, Right Hook" strategy to gain the attention of the audience, but often hear it's too hard/long/unclear.
As for clickbait - yep, it's sad but true. They still work wonderfully in 2018, so not using them is kinda missing out.

Agreed. Some content marketers are blatantly promoting their brands or products without even thinking the audience needs and wants. In creating a successful content, you must step into the shoes of your audience so that you can create your content based on their taste.
