[Serious Thread] What are your current roadblocks?

The thread is blowing up already lots of good info in it, thanks @Sherb for starting it.

For users struggling with procrastination I'd suggest you to listen to an audiobook called as the 10x rule, it helped me a lot when I needed it. The only limit is your mind, make up your mind and work like crazy. Good luck to all on their future ventures

Wow, this blew up. Let's see here.

Did you get paid for your work? Did you get a contract signed? It's taken some setbacks, but I've learned that, unless you are willing to do the work for free, always get the terms and agreement in writing and have both parties sign. It's not a lack of trust, it's a security measure for both sides.

Spend the next five days reading, then start implementing. If you're looking at the affiliate site route, @HenryHavoc and @LuckyCharm007 have awesome journey threads where they start from scratch and are both building awesome sites.

If you are still needing any ahrefs exports let me know. I've got the full subscription (standard one).

That's way beyond by pay grade, although I recently read a thread that pointed to @Sephrata as an experienced media buyer. He might have some solid advice.

Accountability partners, in my experience, are crutches. You can only progress as far as the lowest progressing partner. If that's not you, you're holding yourself back.

Instead of isolating yourself from the outside world, why not take a chunk of your day when you are doing things that are not as computer-intensive, and bring a laptop to a coffee shop or something? Get some fresh air, have some human interaction.

I face similar issues due to the volume of workload and the fact that I'm not doing IM full time. Are you using any tools for task management?

Also, vetting a solid team is a difficult task. Finding honest, trustworthy team members who are good at their job is a whole different animal. You might want to come to terms with the fact that you will never find the "perfect" team. I don't think anyone has. What mediums are you using to look for potential team members?

Jump in, dude. If you don't someone else will, and they'll snatch up the profit that could have been yours, while you sit at the edge of the deep end of the money pool watching everyone else swim in dollars like Scrooge McDuck yo.

Take every cent of that passive income you are currently making, and stash it away somewhere. Forget it exists. Act like you are starting from square one again. Then hit the ground running.

Remove distractions. If IM is a distraction to your personal life, and you value your personal life more, stop doing IM. If your personal life is a distraction to your IM, and you value IM more, cut ties.

The missing factor here is how the project makes you feel. If it becomes nothing more than a "job", you're going to be miserable and not want to put the time in. Is this a cash grab project, or is this something you are actually passionate about? And for reasons besides the potential money. Is this something you'd spend time on for free?

What monetization methods are you currently using?

Never let a personality test determine how you are going to perceive yourself. I only quoted a paragraph, but it sounds like you are making a lot of excuses, when in reality you just don't have the ambition. Are you working on things you give a shit about, or just looking for things that will pay the bills?

That's all I got for now. I'll try to respond to another 10 or so later today.

Hell yeah, I've got my niche , found my clickbank product and I`m working on it.

What are you stuck on? What are your current roadblocks keeping you from progressing to the next step? Let us know, and maybe someone reading this can help you out in some way.

We're a community. Let's do what communities do.

Don't request money. Don't request mentoring. Don't break the rules. Don't be a dirty shitposter.
I feel like I'm spiritually stagnating because of my emotional hang ups.

@Sherb to answer your questions

1. For task management..I just write down my weekly and daily to do lists.(Apart from main goals which are written down at the begining of the year.)

I seem to get more things done that way and because it feels great to check things off at the end of the day. Apps don't help me much.

2. About finding the perfect team members.

When I get someone to do some work for me, I just focus on how much "passion" and "dedication" they have for what they are doing. Do they really enjoy what they are doing or are they just trying to finish up quickly and get paid?

I want people who are honest, trustworthy, authentic and who actually like what they are doing.

We're getting there though.

This thread has great tips by the way.
Thanks to @Sherb

Thanks man. I am implementing most of this , I find media buyers through referrals and various other sources (I.e. coaching). The core issue I have found is that they have this attitude that money grows on fucking trees which pisses me off. I give them a starting budget of $2k and they all make silly mistakes.

I dunno this is just my experience, again thanks for the advice but for now I'm pausing most of my media buyer recruitment. One thing I've realised in all my years of experience is if somethings gonna happen it will.

I'm not sure how you find your media buyers, but if you're using Facebook I can offer the following advice:

- Always check their Facebook account. If it looks fake (I check the profile pic with Tineye and Google images), then it's a red flag
- Check their group posting history to see if they are really an experience media buyer. I'm in a few Adwords groups and some people give genuinely shocking advice, yet on their profiles they claim they are Google Partners or they run their own media agencies
- Don't post that you're looking for a media buyer. This just attracts a majority of people with little or no experience
- If you find someone you think meets your needs, then ask for references or existing clients as a due diligence check

My age. I can't sign a sim-only phone contract, so I have to pay extortionate pay as you go fees. I can't sign a lease in my own name so I have to get someone else to do it for me. I can't have a business bank account or even a contactless debit card so I'm stuck with 7 normal bank accounts to easily track my money. I can't even be the first into the office because of health and fucking safety. When I was under 16 I couldn't even send payments via online banking, I had to pay extortionate PayPal fees and have multiple stealth accounts. I can't invest in stocks or purchase property so can't move forward with all of the diversification projects I have planned.

Don't suppose you have a time machine laying around, do you?

I'd love to have your problem lol.

What kind of media buying are we talking about? For search and native traffic (incl FB), I can recommend some agencies.

I work from 9am til 9pm. so not much work i can do.

My biggest problem is being not tired and not being able to wake up early. Apart from that, building my facebook page. Very hard to get likes on page

Definitely execution! I love thinking of different ideas but struggle in taking action in fear of failure.

There is no better place on the internet than BHW when it comes to relationship advises. Feel free to PM your story or share it here.

Enjoy the relationship. If you are making decent money, it is fine. If it is affecting the business a lot, you need to communicate this to your partner and solve the issue mutually.

Remove distractions. If IM is a distraction to your personal life, and you value your personal life more, stop doing IM. If your personal life is a distraction to your IM, and you value IM more, cut ties.

Thanks for your answers, guys! Really means a lot to me.

So basically the problems started when i started to become emotionally invested in the relationship which was about 1 year ago. The love slowly faded away and she became more distant. I started to get clingy (which i know was a bad way to go) but after 1 year it keeps getting worse and worse. I can't get it out of my head and it distracts me so hard in every aspect of my life. Like literally every aspect of my life is. We've been together for 3 yrs and the first 2 years were so awesome and magical - like i never had it with someone else like that before (its not my 1st relationship) and its just hard to let go of that particular person. I know i have to let go, but this is exactly my problem, i can't let go.. I wouldn't say i became a wussy in the relationship but i am starting to feel like its going to happen, and ive tried to fix everything, talking etc. - It just doesn't seem to help.

Current state of my life is not that great at the moment - I get a certain amount of IM Income which i could basically live of but i have a offline job as well, which kinda drains me out. All this together and then the relationship really kills me at the moment.

I was also thinking about opening up a journey thread because i recently started to get into media buying and i thought i could make a journey that sorta combines the media buying journey as well as my personal. Something like "My journey to a better life" or something like that, lol - But i don't know if anyone would even read that.

Anyways, thanks for reading lol

My roadblock is getting on large Pinterest boards so that I can build up a few niche blogs. It's similar to find a new job, you need experience before they look at you but you can't get experience because you can't get hired. Other than that, my social media marketing services are doing well because I have a niche advantage over others in the same field. So that's a positive. No obstacles there.

Females always prefer men who don't want them...it's fickle and silly but, it's true. By letting go of her and concentrating on improving yourself, she just may come back to you. A man is much more attractive when he is thriving, confident and self actualized. The women just flock to him.

If you turn the tables, it's the same with women. Men will fall over themselves for women who are unavailable and who show just enough interest, then they take it away. Lust can be such a frustrating game. The thing is, lust turns into love when the game disappears.

So, work on improving yourself and focus on being the best you. You'll either meet someone better or she'll come back to you.

Pull an all-nighter, seriously.

I had the worst sleep pattern when I was at school. I used to go to bed at 5am at the weekend and not be tired enough to go to bed and wake up at 7am. Staying up all night helps sooooo much. Not only do you get more done, but you can go from waking up at 12pm to 6am in an instant without actually losing that much energy.

Actually start doing a method because for whatever reason i think everything is saturated and that demotivates me a lot.

Accept that whatever you are about to try will be saturated and resign yourself to failure. Plan accordingly, with prudence. You may be surprised where you end up.

People talk about "twists" a lot here, the best way to come up with one is trying something and failing at it, which will force your brain to rethink things, even when you don't want to.

If you try something and it fails. That failure will sit on your consciousness as we humans enjoy solving problems - you'll be taking a shit one day and think "Oh, what if I tried doing this..." and you'll have your "twist".

If you just read a thread and think "Fuck, I'm too late". You'll never think about it again.

Good Luck!

wow dude, if I had a bitcoin right now i would send it to you, holy shit this is so true.

To those who are "stuck" in college/university:

No one pointed a gun to your head to go there, you're living your OWN life, not someone else's' expectation of you. When that life drags you down, you have no one to blame but yourself. When you win, you created it (with whatever help you had, of course, but YOU took the action).

If you are willingly in the "higher" education, remember, you are NOT there for the knowledge! Spend JUST enough time to pass, that piece of paper you "earned" at the end looks the same to anyone who actually asks, as long as you PASS. You are actually there to NETWORK, meet people, get into circles of people who get things done. These are the future leaders of the corporate world, if you want to be one of them later, be one of them now.

If you are just there to study and get good grades, you have MISSED THE POINT of the game.
