We’re currently recruiting for an in-house mod position (full-time) for Black Hat World.
If you’re passionate about the forum and want to contribute to its continuing growth, put our money where your mouth is and apply for the role of in-house mod.

It’s a complex, challenging role - as such, we’re not expecting the successful applicant to have all the necessary skills up front. So, even though this is listed as an entry-level position, we’re looking for someone exceptional who can grow the job and develop it into a more senior role. Applications are welcome from anyone - whether you’ve been here for 10 years or 10 minutes – we want to see passion and enthusiasm for the forum and all things SEO.
The listed salary bracket is for newbies without forum knowledge, but this could be higher for someone with the right skill set. Apply with your BHW username and if your activity shows you’ve consistently demonstrated the right mix of experience and knowledge over the last 12 months, you could start in a more advanced role with the salary to match.
Most importantly, we’re looking for the right type of personality who’ll thrive in a difficult but rewarding job. You must be able to work well in a small, tightly-knit team, be able to adapt to different situations and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. You’ll also need to demonstrate that you’re calm and level-headed under pressure, have great problem-solving skills and are a self-starter with lots of initiative.
The right person will have the ability to manage their own workload, choose areas of interest to become a specialist in and work collaboratively with other people – lone wolves need not apply.
There’s always work needed on the forum so if you need to be spoonfed or micro-managed, if you wait for work to be assigned to you or if you’re the type of person who’ll do the same job day-in day-out, regardless of everyone else’s workload - this isn’t the job for you.
This is a unique and fascinating role unlike any other in the SEO industry. You know the forum – this is your chance to get involved with every aspect of it and help shape its future growth and direction. You’ll be the first to hear about anything new and we’ll give you all the support you need to become an expert in your chosen field.
Please bear in mind that this position is office-based – you must have the correct visa to work permanently in the UK and you’ll need to be able to commute to Milton Keynes each day.
