How to Approach This Project and How Much Would it Cost?

I'm thinking about building a PBN Manager software for private usage with the possibility to open it up as SaaS. The best example I've came accross is a software called ExecPBN which is too expensive.

I have some knowledge in php and development in general. I don't mind spending time to research and learn more coding as needed as I think myself as a fast-learner.

1. What do you think would be best to start learning so I can build this project? Also what framework to use, is Laravel the best for this kind of job?

2. If I decide to outsource this project, what is your estimation for price/time? Can you please give me some rough estimation of that?

3. If I go the outsourcing route, do you think there is a good chance of someone stealing the project and how to protect myself from it?

Would appreciate all your opinions and experiences on this matter, thanks up front!

You should probably define what "some" knowledge means. That and specify how much time/effort you're willing to invest.

Assuming you're referring to the $200/month ExecPBN plan, then probably better to just buy it.

Cost for developing & running something similar wouldn't be worth it for just private use, and outsourcing all of the development for a commercial product is complicated and could end very badly.

I'm literary building this software right now. Came across this idea yesterday before going to bad and started this day with working on a project. What can I say, 80/20 rule holds. I already created software that will save 80% of hassle. I see ways to improve it, make it SaaS accessible to VA , but it will take those extra 80% of effort, and I don;t feel like doing it. If I had VA, I would build it SaaS in order to protect my Network from being exposed to VA.
Though My program is simple and runs from local machine, and is not fully automated, I have to manually login to my PBNs, it still helps. And I only spent on it 4 hours. and this is perfect price/performance ratio to me.
No, to be fare, I didn't even look and link provided buy OP, nor I ever seen any PBN management softwares in my life. I'm sure they are so much better, and now I'm going to look on them

It really comes down to your time versus money argument......if you dont have the money then you will need to invest your time, learn more coding skills etc, if you have a budget then I would definitely outsource the development. That way you can concentrate on the project from a higher level, you can start to look at other things like how to promote the product.

1. Horses for courses. If you're coding it yourself then find the language that you're most comfortable with. If you're outsourcing, I would take guidance from them as they should have the experience in writing other tools etc

2. This will depend on functionality. I would sit down and write a Minimum Viable Product feature list, what is the minimum or the critical functions of the application that I need. You can then engage in a roadmap of functionality code releases. This will help spread the cost of development.

3. Get a Non Disclosure Agreement, you can download plenty of these for free. Or you could offer an incentive to the developer......show him the functionality roadmap, say you will use him in the future. Basically build a relationship with them.

Nearly forgot.....the development of the front end is probably the easiest part of this. Getting the data that drives the front end will be the difficult bit imo

I can't understand what their 99$ product does. and how many sites it supports. Can It manage web2.0? If it does at least something - I would start from there. 99$ is a good price if it saves you 50 hours/year.
