Why work weeks or months for a website which can be bought for $10? I don't want anything for free, but if there is a source from where an autoupdating website can be bought for this price, why not to use it?

I did the same mistake in the beginning. I would advise not to buy these automated sites. There shitty and only produce duplicated content. Dont expect them to rank let alone produce income of any sort.

Instead learn kw research for 2 - 4 weeks and do your own site. You will achieve much more.

I did buy those 22 auto pilot websites for $190 last year. Seller also gave me contact of a guy who build these sites, I contacted him and it turned out that you need to order them in bulk to get sites for $5 per site. The condition was minimum of 50 sites order. When ordering 50 sites there is a maximum 10 niches per order, for example it can be 5 sites per niche in 10 different niches, or 10 sites per niche x 5 niches, or any combination to make total 50 sites, but not more than 10 niches per order.

Nobody will sell you a solid website related to some sort of niche for $10 - that is tooo cheap.

Self updating websites can surely be made.. I had one adult website autopost from reddit with some SEO optimization in mind and I was grabbing easily 10k visits per day after a month of grabbing just the content (no seo done except onpage). But this take time to build so am sure it just cant be that good for $10.

You need at least $50 to get a good website.
