Is there any way to know how many people are following a specific hashtag.

With the newest updates, people can follow hashtags instead of people to have a diverse feed. I'm wondering if you can figure out the stats on that data.

I think knowing this would be very valuable for some strategies

Yes that would be great data to have, but at the moment I don't think there is any way to get this information. IG probably also doesn't want you to have that info, because it would increase spam of the hashtags with many followers.

Indirectly you can get an idea when you look at the number of likes on the top posts. But there can of course be many reasons why top posts get likes (engagement group, fake likes, hit the explore page, they have many followers).

Look around online, there may be a bot or site that could do that. I highly doubt there isn't.

Indeed. But I tried following a hashtag from one of my niche accounts and it showed me a post that wasnt in the top 9 for that hashtag. Rather, it sent me a post that seemed to actually agree with the semantic subject matter
Ie: #motivation

That raised more questions for me than answers in terms of algorithmic learning.
But I'm not surprised the data is not available, just curious if anyone else thought about that.

After doing some homework, I'm afraid I was not successful finding anything out there on that. This is a very new feature still so I'm not surprised

Right... It is. Well then, I guess you would have to wait. Unless someone has a software or app on this forum. In that case, I beleive you should ask this question on the "Want to Buy" or "Hirea a Freelance" forums. Good Luck :)

Tbh it’s not even worth it. No one is following hashtags atm. I check every now and then and not a single person has anything in that page...
