Anyone here still making money with Adsense?

I am running a blog and adsense has been the main source of income. Everything was ok, until recently I got this email from adsense sayings that they were going to make some changes, and since then (December 15th) my earning really dropped to half (progressively).

As part of Google’s efforts to increase brand safety for advertisers, Google is making changes to the way it buys impressions on URLs that are uncrawled. More specifically, starting on December 15th, AdWords and DoubleClick Bid Manager will adopt more restrictive bidding on ad requests coming from URLs that are uncrawled. This is necessary to avoid the risk of ads running on sensitive content.

We detected that your Adsense account is sending a significant number of ad requests from URLs that are not crawled. To avoid a potential revenue impact from this change, please consider the following best practices for ensuring URLs can be properly crawled:
  • AdSense Publishers, see:
    • About the AdSense crawler
    • How to fix AdSense crawler errors
    • Display ads on login-protected pages
    • Give access to our crawler in your robots.txt

Anyone experienced the same issue or know what should I do? I have read related articles but have no idea what they meant by "URLs that are not crawled"

Thanks.

I stopped monetizing my sites with AdSense well over a year ago.

I'm speaking for myself when I say this but AdSense earnings are too low and definitely were so at least for me.

I came to the realization that monetizing my properties thru other mediums were not only more profitable but more reliable and dependable.

For me adsense is still quite ok when keeping the ads light and non intrusive. I tried other companies, but achieved much lower rate on the same ad types. Or perhaps you used other monetizing methods?

At the time of using AdSense it was the only monetization method that I used on my site. By this I mean if I were running AdSense ads on a particular site I wouldn't monetize that same site with other monetization options.

It dropped December 15 2010 :)
Adsense is not good and not safe anymore

May I ask... what "other mediums" were you using?

No, I have not....
RPM drop over 50%.
Same here. It's because of slow business in beginning of years do you think? I have just started Adsense and have no idea how RPM over time of the year varies.
