A bitcoin bought on January 1, 2017 has increased in value more than twelve-fold, despite the late December drop.
The cryptocurrency had lost almost 2% of its value in the past 24 hours.

The movement is a modest lost after much sharper gains earlier in the week, when bitcoin plummeted from an all-time high of $19,843.

Its value is down more than 30% in a single week after a sharp depreciation which began around December 17 and 18.

The currency briefly dipped below $11,000, shedding nearly half its value in a matter of days.

Bitcoin then rallied above $15,000, but has been sinking since. As of right now 12/25/17 11:51 (Est) The price of Bitcoin is at $14,298.69 That's not too bad when most of us bought our coins cheap.
Nonetheless, the recent spike and decline still represents an enormous increase in value over the course of the year and many people are seeing a return on investment.

BitCoin seems to me to be here to stay,

Bitcoin to People : I will F*** You One Day !

Bitcoin is a speculation tool, nothing more ! Transaction are fucking shit slow as fuck and expensive. No future if it's stay like this. Bitcoin will not remain 1st

Bitcoin is a over rated bubble, not a investment or something that smart people think about, go gamble at the blackjack table.

You should look at BitCoin as a way to move money. The extra value you get from it going up and down is just something extra.
Your $1 of BitCoin will always get you $1. Your true task is to fill your Wallet with coins, mostly free ones, or from fees you charge people for your skills..

While this may be true, we see the same in any bubble situation.

It may be a bubble, but its easy enough for the time being to make an initial investment, double that, pull out your original funds and play with the profits. Why miss out on free money?
