Great post, email lists are like gold dust. I've banked hard with lists collected over the years but it always takes a long time to do so, but this is genius.

You could but ideally i would recommend using a catch-all email adress because then you can basically make new email addresses on the fly and centralize all the emails to one inbox. This helps alot because when using this method you will be working with high volumes and having to re-create email accounts all the time can be a bit of pain.

So many people talk about softwares, bounce rates, open rate, spam filter..is MailChimp better than poo? 5 lines, 8 paragraphs, 2 CTA, formating subject line..I call this BULLSHIT.
You are sending messages to people, not to lists, segments, contacts, but PEOPLE. People have emotions, they hope, they have dreams, but also fears. Your mission is NOT to make money, but to fullfil people's dreams.Help them, talk to them, individually whenever possible. Craft a solution for the most common problem they have. You won't even need to sell it hard, they will ask you to buy it.
It's harder when you start with unknown people, but OP showed a way to find and group people with similar interests.
So..be human, think as humans and humans will love you.

Yes, to setup a catch-all you have to own the domain name. But these days you can get them for very cheap like a couple of bucks. Godaddy always has deals / coupons u can get these for almost nothing.

I would go with Facebook groups, or sites like craigslist, oodle, or gumtree. Those have always worked great for me.
