Is Coinbase a safe wallet

Coinbase supports Segwit2x so fck them. Its going to be a huge clusterfuck if coinbase moves to segwit2x so avoid coinbase.
This.
Stop using webwallets and others centralized wallets. This isn't the way bitcoin is indented to be used. It's unsafe and makes the entire network more brittle.
And this also. Wow, people that get it in this thread!

Extremely safe. I've been using it for years and never had a single issue, plus your coins are insured.

You can send your money to coinbase and then transfer it to GDAX for free to do your transactions and only pay 0.25 in fees rather than the 1.49% you would if you did it on coinbase. As soon as you have completed your transactions you can instantly send your coins back to coinbase for free and put them in their values or send them off to a hardware wallet.

Only been interested in Crypto for a week or so but I love my Trezor. It works with Wordpress too so you can use your Trezor to login rather than type your username and password in. Although it may not be that useful to many people if you have a high earning money site and want to take extra steps to avoid keyloggers or something it can be handy.

i have issue using gdax to buy. although i loaded funds into coinbase, it says current pair isnt available something like that.
anyone know if its due to my currency isnt USD based?
tried emailing to gdax previously on documents approval and they took a month to get a reply LOL

I keep an offline wallet on a virtual machine, highly suggested.

If you have lots of coins go for some hardware wallet like ledger nano s.

That could be it actually, the below is the fiat they support.

Bitcoin - USD, Euro, GBP
Ethereum - USD, Euro
Litecoin - USD, Euro

yea, they dont support my local currency, coinbase fees is inevitable

People have been saying don't keep your coins in exchanges or anything except your own wallet for years now.
Site's get hacked and go down all the time.....Btc-e is latest example. If you want a laugh, look at their subreddit. Dudes kept $100,000+ in coins on their wallet there just to lose it all. Same story with mtgox few years ago.
Chance of coinbase going down? Low, but it's up to you to analyze the risk.

True about BTC-e. Though that guy should have recovered his btc by now since they started refunding recently. Still, I can't imagine the pain he must have suffered all these months

Coinbase probably the safest but just download a walllet if u not trading

Mycelium is my favourite
No verifications no nothing

The safest way yo store any coin is with a client wallet, back up your private keys/seeds, also store it in paper wallets in safe places. Exchanges are not safe at all, since THEY control the priv keys to your funds you are delegating something you should do. Exchanges are not "banks" in crypto you are your own bank. Trade and transfer to your personal wallet that you control.

Hy, how much is the fee on Coinbase to send BTC to another wallet?

Hey mate,
It's based on the amount that you are sending, and that amount is the sum of how many transactions.
Generally, it's not much.
All the best.

The safest way to secure your cryptocurrencies is an offline wallet. Such as a paper wallet or USB wallet
