I really suggest that you sign up in a network that is most newbie-friendly.
A good affiliate manager always has a number of articles and video tutorials on hand so his contribution is invaluable.
That would at the very least give you a good idea of how to start.
But without strong will and ability to work a lot you won't get far.

Start from getting a website and do proper seo , rank your website, attract traffic..apply for affiliate network.
Get in touch with your manager on an affiliate network and get best offers for your traffic.

Yep, that's the perfect attitude to do this, wait for someone to help you because it's so easy that even a child could do it....oh wait, it's not, it might really require you to work your ass off and test and learn for a few months at least before succeeding...

The best way to learn is to just start. Dive in to a project. You're going to mess up and make tons of mistakes, but use those failures and learn from them and do better the next time.
The first website I created for affiliate marketing purposes was absolutely terrible, in pretty much every way. Gradually I learned what was poorly done with that first site, and why, and I did better in my next efforts. A year from now I hope to look back on today and see tons of mistakes and ways I could do things better. It would mean I'm still growing and learning.
There's no exact roadmap for anything. Sure courses and guides can be beneficial, but only if you jump in yourself and start trying things. Learning is incremental. It takes action and time to learn and grow. Just start now.
