How difficult is it to sell leads?

Depends on the leads.
Elaborate more, please if you want someone to help you.

Selling leads to advertising companies. Think if you have a domain that ranks awesomely for related keywords, can you submit those leads to a business in the niche?

well, for such an elaborate question you got pretty much the same kind of answers :) you might want to protect what you actually want to do but you'll have to provide a little more info so people can give you relevant replies

leads have diffierent values depending on the buyer. example: qualified or unqualied? a lead can mean anything

dude you asked quite a complicated question

What information contain your leads? Just the e-mailaddress or name and e-mail? Complete information like address, phonenumber etc? Do these leads have a intention to buy a product or service or did they just enter their information to get something for free?

Here's the story. I had a client who became upset because I got him a good ranking but he wasn't getting leads -- his website was terrible.

After a discussion to do pay per click for him to a separate page not on his website, he didn't want to pay as much so we ended the agreement. In the process, I built a website that is going to rank well for that keyword. I was going to use it for them but now I'm not. I want to collect leads on this website and sell them to other companies in that industry.

They are leads that pay anywhere from $20k to $2M if they convert. Think large advertising.

Hi, without knowing the specifics of your investment in this website/landing page, I would suggest the following.

To monetise said page will require a time/money investment. if the page already ranks The minimal time investment would be to find a compatible offer from an affiliate network and just put it on.

If you have more time/money to invest, you could optimise the site for a particular offer or demographic. Optimisations could include higher paying offers, prelanders or better landers, email list, etc.

A third option, put the site online, get some traffic to it, collect the data and put it on flippa after 2 weeks. You could also hire a VA/JV partner to help with monetising to do any of the above.

As a guideline for a valuation of the site, if you know the conversion rate of your site and the average CPC for that category (you could look it up on adwords or bing). if you dont know this, you would need to run some traffic to the site to figure it out.

It really depends on the niche you're in and how you got those leads. If its a well paying niche and you're getting traffic from seo, you can get a lot of money. Even better if you build a mailing list with your leads and not bombard them with multiple offers daily. At some point, you'll end up with a 30k list of leads you can sell to whenever without worrying about google updates or raising ppc costs.

I don't want to build a mailing list. These people are ready to buy now, so I want to send the leads to businesses that are looking for them. I was going to do this to my client but they are no longer with us however since I have the framework set up already I am going to use it. Moreover, since I am not an advertising firm, I can't make it look like they will being emailed by my business, so I don't know what to do once I get the information, or even what I should say, like fill out the form to be contacted by the top advertising companies?

Redirect the leads to advertising company A. Let them have a good taste, then approach them.
