I buy directly online. There is no need for contact person aka middlemen. The Chinese are technologically very advanced nowadays and utilises the internet. You just need to be able to communicate with them and they are ready to do business with you. I store the inventories at different countries that I target (initially I focus on my location but the business has expanded alot of late due to upcoming festive holiday and supplier having inventories problem). A lot of whole sellers are out of stocks currently as logistic from China cannot cope with demand to ship. Those who still have stocks like myself are getting sales so easily. I will say this is easy money much more than wasting time with dropshipping and CPA. I just wonder why people don't spend time on selling in bulk and rather focus on dropshipping.

Alibaba? Aliexpress? Dhgate? Or some other site? I heard about China scammers who initially send a few containers of real goods and then in the next orders it's all rubbish in the containers. Did you ever encounter some things like that?

You are posting too little. Make your account look legit and don't spam. IG users hate spam nowadays (thanks to IG+OGads spamming). Post interesting contents. The followers will come on its own, IG is good at helping your content get discovered. Noticed that on IG some new post when you refresh shows that it was updated x days ago while some post will come almost immediately? IG does not follow chronological order when it comes to showing interesting post on your feed. It looks at your follower engagement of the content (the faster it get likes, the more likely your content will be shown to other users faster).

First ask yourself what is your interest.
Next checkout the offer related to your interest.
After, make sure the offer payout is high.
Test and run the campaign to check on conversion rate.

Scammers are everywhere and you are right that after a few shipment there might be rubbish in the next. However this is very unlikely to happen as Chinese nowadays makes so much more money and there is no need to scam since it is so easy to sell Chinese made products.

Alibaba is a good place where I source for contact. And then I will give them a call. If I am really interested to do business with that company I will usually write in to the Chinese Embassy for clarification of status of business registration. This official channel usually replies or redirect you to their trade department. I was directed only once to their trade department as the product that I am inquiring requires DG Class 3 aka dangerous cargo.

I do speak Business Chinese, forced myself to learn and write it years ago as I foresee the growing importance of China into the global environment. In fact I can read/ write just like a local Chinese person if not better at times.

How many do you usually post in a day? Do you describe much in the photo descriptions?

I personally feel that in terms of ROI, CPA is not impressive at all. The most profits that I made are from wholesale. So I think having your own products seem to be the best option in terms of monetization.

Allow me to quote you an incident that happen last week with regards to CPA.
My conversion drops to ZERO (yes you read it right) for three days straight. This is not right from my personal experience so I spoke to my AM and got the network to look into the issue. Eventually we discover that IG has made some updates to their inbuilt browser and cookies tracking was not working properly as a result. So basically I lost three days of revenue because of this. Not that this is big sum of money but my point here is that CPA offers can be messed up at times especially when you are not in control of these cookies.

My traffic flow is as follow. IG -> Landingpage -> offer page (all through inbuilt IG browser) and the browser has very strict cookies control system in place.

For my wholesale business I do not rely upon cookies. So I am safe regardless of update with IG.

As a foreigner we won't know for sure if a Company is legit or registered business entities. Going through a legal channel is one of the way to identify if a Company is legally registered to minimize your risk of dealing with a scammer. For Countries like western Europe, UK, USA, Singapore, Hong Kong, you can just go online and check the business entity. For China, things are a bit more complicated so it is better to always go through a proper legal channel to inquire.
What do you want to learn more about? In terms of supplier sourcing, it is all about going to baidu, search in Chinese for the products that you want in wholesale. Call up the Company, check the legality of the Company, get samples order (usually the price is not retail, if you are being charged retail price, this is a reseller, bypass it). Once you are happy with product quality, make an order and pay through wire transfer or T/T. For big sum dealing, China Company usually do not deal with Paypal payment due to risk of chargeback and high fees with bad exchange rates.

For payment wise, if you are worry, you can always pay through L/C (letter of credits) issued from your bank. Your bank will only release the funds when shipping documents are presented. If your finances permits, it is always a good idea to meet the supplier in person and over dinner to build up the relationship.

Don't Alibaba have their verification mechanism such as escrow, gold supplier, trusted badge etc? Why need to involve govt? And Letter of Credit cost money too.
Unfortunately my Chinese language is not proficient enough to search in Baidu comfortably. My mother and aunts usually import by going to GuangZhou directly or by using Wechat

Yes when you click on link in the IG app, you are accessing through its inbuilt browser. That is why some cookies are not tracked properly and publisher are experiencing loss of commissions and claim that network is stealing from them.

I wanted to sell powerbank thus the need to inquire about the import process. Not dangerous weapon.

I know the product sell very well as I sell a lot of customer demands. Did an indepth study of the market before going into this.
Competition is everywhere. There is no secret to buying in bulk from China so nothing will stop competitors from moving into this lucrative pie of business. Take for example, nail arts, fake nail, nail stickers, etc are selling very well in Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia currently. The wholeseller are making tons of money every single day. But the same product does not sell very well in Thailand. The surprising thing is that there are very limited wholeseller in these countries that sell well. Basically no one is competing on price. I will say this particular niche is none saturated at all and I am surprise at the lack of competitors.

I have made in profits total of $100k USD just this month alone through sales from the above countries especially Vietnam where my stocks are totally sold out every single day when shipment arrives. I get my customer through facebook group posting and some facebook ads on topics regarding nail art, nail design,etc in the local languages. There is no secret to this but it is amazing from the lack of competition in this niche.

I uses these fake nails.. ;p Thus I know there is a demand for this. And the profits margin are very high since these are lightweight generic products.

This is the next step, looking for items to export to China. Their buying power is so much larger than USA market currently, my guess is maybe 5-10 times larger than USA. I think it is simply amazing to sell to the Chinese market. Food and raw materials are areas that I am looking to export to China currently. Recently I had a meeting with two importers, crab and durian importer from China, and they have very large demand for these products. Busy with the application for export permits currently. If this works out, then most likely I won't be online too often as there are alot of work for import/export business.

Ops, sorry I missed your question. Well Alibaba verification, hmm.. just my personal view not a fact, I am a bit concerned with bribery to get certified. If Amazon were to give verified stamp, I can believe straight out. Maybe it is just me but I rather have the official reply from a government authority just to be safe especially when I am dealing with an unknown Company for the first time. Actually your aunt is on the right track with wechat and self visit to GZ. There is no so call secret to bulk buying and selling. Just a matter of buying at the right price and selling at a profit. In my case, my products are not the cheapest in the market, but the demand is simply too large. And supplies are insufficient. Vietnam is buying up 60% of my inventories. I know it sound crazy but a poor country like Vietnam has volume to make up for the lack of profit margin. I am really surprised by the lack of competition and with so many Vietnamese doing dropshipping and trying to sell to Americans whereby their own backyard is a goldmine.

In terms of politic, I am no expert but from what I see, the Chinese can spend much more than the Americans nowadays. So there is a big market for sure in China. But not all products will sell well there. Ideally not tech related as the Chinese will simply copy the design and idea, manufacture cheaper than you. I prefer to export raw materials or food related products to them.

Hope to see how the application went. Was it expensive?

Heard many weird stories about selling to China, like always going under table, need approval of all China states just to sell 1 thing, buyers trying to screw food exporters by claiming that the lab test failed, or have to smuggle through HK. Would love to know if it's true or just hearsay.
