Have you ever had the feeling nowdays, that you are building backlinks for nothing?
With every Algo-update, rankings are just falling step by step, no matter the quality of your backlinks.

If you analyze your top competitors in ahrefs, you would realize that the they havent built backlinks in a while, and they getting more and better ranking for keywords. And about backlinks: I am not talking about shit pbns and pillow links and bad anchor diversity. For example, I have gained a lot of natural do-follow backlinks in the last 6 months, from high authority sites. And they didnt do anything at all to my rankings.

And now sites ruling the top3, with outdated and never linked content.
WTF is happening?

Google's algorithm is meant to put you off. You don't know whether links are helping or not. It takes SEO experience to decide which links matter and which don't.

You are clearly a genius, with years of experience then.

Hah, just didnt like the whining, I am not a genius just pretty experienced.

1. Find the site kicking your ass you want to beat
2. Find the real backlink profile (Link Research Tools will do it)
3. Create similar link trajectory following similar link target metrics

win.

- How old is your site?
- How is your on-page SEO?
- How technically advanced is your site?

I have gained a lot of natural do-follow backlinks in the last 6 months, from high authority sites .... this will help. how many are we talking about and how difficult is the KW ????

its probably because your opponents have better UX than you

honestly usually top 1 sites are the ones with natural link growth (or at least where it looks like its natural) and with good content
