Are you notching Amazon Affiliate Sales Drop?

I am notching my affiliate sales drop from a couple of months. It does not convert as it do before. I have seen some fb group post with similar objection.

You may call it as an official discussion because Amazon representative has direct involvement with this forum.

Amazon is doing any blackhat? Are they stealing affiliate sales? Who knows!

Yep, been getting shafted for a couple of months now, but October is just blatant.

I think they change the cookie duration? wasn't it like at 30 days and now it's only 24 hours.

They grew large for FREE off the backs of affiliate schmucks doing SEO and working hard and now they don't need it anymore and want to eat the pie themselves. We all saw this coming.

There is huge misunderstandings as to the 30 day cookie. It was never a 30 day visitor cookie, the user had to add the item they clicked on to their cart and leave it there. Then, you'd get commission only for that cart item if they bought within 30 days, other newly added cart items didn't count. Plus, if I rember right, you had to pick between that or the 24 hour anything goes cookie.

85% of online sales are completed within 24 hrs....there will be skewing of this data based on investment $$$

I think I hopped of the right time.

Ranking a 200€/month affiliate sites requiring some strong expired domain + 20 strong PBN posts sure aint a good idea. and you got 2 dozens competitors lined up behind you.

Seriously! Amazon don't care their affilate. Almost everyone noticing sales drop but Amazon seeing it as normal. If you read that forum post then you will find an Amazon representative answer. She said "They are not seeing any problem". Even someone emailed Jeff about this problem. Her assistance email answer was exactly same "all are fine".

Amazon are trying to kill their affilate. Yes they are doing.

Just a few days ago i read an article that Amazon sales has dropped in the 2nd Quater.
Happy to read that. Because Amazon reduce their affiiate commission in the 2nd Quater.

So, Amazon reduce their affilate commission 50% and now for their tracking errors another 50% sales drop.

So, now you are working as an Amazon affilate for 25% commission if i compare to 6 month ago commission.
Is it worth to continue as an affilate?
I don't think so. You need to spend thousand dollar to rank a site + 6-12 months hard work. After that if you earn 300-400 per month then i don't think it worth to continue.

If we invest that money + time on other business model then we may get better Roi.

bravo. and that he wasted 10k the last years till he found some niche with ROI is hidden. as usual.

I'm hoping Walmart jumps on the affiliate wagon. Their commissions suck but I'd pump up their store if they only matched Amazon.
