I think a lot of people have already pretty-well covered how you should start, but I want to address the other part of your statement:

"...I hear it is all about a quick return..."

It is about a quicker return then you'd get with white hat. Quicker != fast. There's no fast money in this business, especially in the very beginning. The very beginning is mostly learning, failing and trying again. Fast money in SEO is a rarity at best, and a $7 eBook sales pitch or scam at its worst. Don't be fooled by the fast money. Get ready to work hard, and not make a lot of profit in the beginning.

Not trying to rain on your parade, just trying to set realistic expectations. Good luck, don't get discouraged, and in a little while, you'll have a real business with real income.

And if you want the quickest return, you're probably going to want to start with social media marketing (SMM) instead of search engine optimization (SEO). SMM gets you bursts of traffic upfront with lingering residual results. SEO gets you little or no results upfront and gradually builds up increasingly large residual traffic.

That's great info. I've had limited success with SMM, but that's because I've put all of my efforts behind SEO. I need to work on my SMM skills badly. It's one area where I think I have the most opportunity.

Somehow I'm not surprised that someone with the username @SEO has an SEO focus, ha ha.

The other thing you might note is that SMM helps you in the SEO department, as well. Here's some data from a fairly new site with pretty much no linkbuilding/offpage SEO explicitly done. The spike is an article that was promoted on Reddit. The regular daily traffic is roughly double after that spike, most of the day-to-day increase coming from search results. The article that was linked to in that spike has continued to benefit from the huge authority boost that the Reddit post continues to provide. Posted an idea in this same vein https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/method-theory-poll-retroactively-editing-into-highly-upvoted-reddit-posts-comments.984399/ that has been interesting to experiment with.

SMM's often overlooked on BHW. People on here are very much focused on SEO. It's a whole other spearate ocean of money that's definitely worth tapping into.

Glad you caught that, I was trying to inject a little subtle humor there :). I've been experimenting around with sending social signals to certain posts, but I'm trying to find a quality provider before I set up any actual tests. A lot of people are really sloppy and it's plainly obvious how fake the accounts are. Thanks for the tips. It'll help me prioritize this a bit higher on my already ridiculous to-do list.

No I appreciate your advice, I am just super confused as to where I can earn money online, that will come itself after some time and customers can buy online, the most I have earn't online in 2017 is £215, back in 2016 I earn't £0. I really worked my ass off to get these funds ETC, but I had to do alot of the contact myself and spent alot of time wasting with fake customers etc trolls and people not serious.

P.S Is your 'click here' thing earning you money?

SEO simply means promoting services right on SM? I have been doing this before, I was doing it all manually and it got tiring, I had to fish for customers ETC, the time and money reward was not worth it, so what advice and how to automate my SMM?

Nope. I was selling my signature, but decided to hold off for a while. Now, the sig serves a few purposes. To see if the minimalism of that advert gets peoples'attention, get a rough idea of how many people click my signature and a rough correlation between my recent posts and the number of clicks I get.

I would recommend going for a White SEO.

Black SEO is basically hacking White SEO. And you can't do that, if you don't understand even basics.

Did you mean to write SMM instead of SEO here? If so, yes, social media marketing (SMM) is any kind of promotion on any social networking site.

You should probably look into figuring out how to get a higher conversion rate with SMM before you start focusing on how to automate it.
