Hi,
I am a bit confused about Bitcoins. Can anyone ( preferably from India) tell me what's the process?

I just need to receive payments and then "convert" it to fiat money. Also, is it possible for someone to pay me in their Currency and it gets automatically converted to BTC? Any service like that?

I'm a complete noob in this case, just excited to see a "potential" boom in the BTC value.

Hi

For Indians the best option is Unocoin. You can take bitcoins in unocoin wallet and can withdraw to Rupees to your bank account.

I was reading online that paypal charge 18% fee, So now reading btc. What's up with all payment gateway issues in India?

Official Statement from PayPal- GST will be applicable only to the Fees charged by PayPal and not the whole amount you receive or your purchase price.

I can't post a link here, check the petition on change[dot]org

We have 3 potential players where we can buy Bitcoins.

1. Coinsecure
2. Unicoin
3. Zebpay

Unicoin and Zebpay are shit. Compare the prices with coinsecure, you will call them shit, too. Coinsecure is a trading platform, best rates for Indians. I have done few lakhs of INR to Btc trade on coinsecure. It's safe and perfect..

Good luck and also remember Bitcoin is very volatile. Don't be surprised if it drops to $2000 from $5k. Invest only if you can hold for atleast 1-2 years.

Thanks! So I'm going with coinsecure then.

You can try the wallet mentioned above or else..just put your bitcoin in your localbitcoin.com wallet and you can sell it to someone in cash or IMPS transfer..

Since you are getting bitcoin from somebody..i would suggest you to first create a wallet account on localbitcoin and give your unique address to the client..this way u get butcoin in your wallet and later on you can sell it and get cash in bank

Hope this clears your confusion

Go with localbitcoin then.

go with localbitcoins, there are some exchangers who are from Delhi, selling their services at localbitcoin but their rates are very very high.
