As of now I don't think so - how will webmasters earn money? I wouldn't run any websites if it wasn't making me money, I don't see how that would be possible via voice. I'd like to see some competition, but Amazon would have too much power (IMO they do already)

I don't see them giving any competition to Google anytime soon.
They rather need to compete with Bing and Yahoo like engines first.

War for the ages have already begun. Since google has partnered with walmart and working on improving google assistant. It's either of the two will survive in voice search space.

Amazon has the edge sofar.

I read in the telegraph business paper that Google is investing a lot of money trying to work out how to monetize voice search. It's certainly the future as people are time poor, so much easier just to ask.
