Back from Rehab

Thanks for sharing this story with us. I really hope you pull through and keep going strong and avoiding the booze! Good For you!

Congrats brother, keep it up. Struggled with serious addiction for over a decade. Took my last shot of dope April 19th, 2011.. Checked myself into detox and did 3 months inpatient rehab. My life is better than I ever could have imagined back then. Should be really proud of yourself man.. And know that life will continue to get better, as long as you don't take that first drink! :fistpound:

It was tough, especially at first. I no longer have a desire to drink. I rarely if ever get real cravings. Do the steps as outlined in the Big Book, that is essential. Find a sponsor to help. Meditation saved my life. Try and find peace. Meditation will help a great deal. Look on youtube or find apps for your phone.

Listen to Joe and Charlie recordings on youtube or itunes. Those guys helped me a great deal as well.

Best of luck to you! You can do this. It requires some effort but it is really really worth it. Things get better.

+1 for Joe and Charlie!! As far as meditation goes, I use the headspace app. It's like $12 a month and there's a ton of great guided tracks
